If your child gets picked for this school save your self the hassle and go somewhere else. This school is terrible. The teachers lie to your face. Then take it out on your child when called out. Administrators back teachers and their lies up. The past two years have been nothing but chaos. As a teacher an an adult you can’t want to help a child and talk about them at the same time in front of their peers. Teachers and administrators talk bad about the student in front of their peers. Discussing their grades and test scores. That doesn’t help build child up neither does it motivate them. It only makes students not want to attend school.

This school offers no real help to these student. They want to down students for low test scores but fail to realize that test score reflect how well you’re teaching and supporting students learning needs. Rather than downing them in front of their peers do something different in your teaching. My child has come home several times stating how his teacher sits in one spot and plays a video for them to learn from while she is on her phone. But then you wonder why child are having a hard time on test. I could go on and on about this school. You save your self the trouble public schools would be better than this.

This school should not be allowed to reopen. Not every child has a laptop as a funded Charter school should provide laptops for students. They require a strict school attire but no supplies/tools. This school is far behind compared to public schools. Not enough homework, no coursework online to help with google classroom. They do not follow pgcps outline and most are behind.. Did I not mention they do not use google classroom. The principal left, its a mess. Btw teachers get away with cursing at students and threatening them to be sent back to address on file within school zone. My daughter is in 1st grade, getting 3rd grade words when the class has not progressed to move past harder words. Not enough reading time allowed on the classroom.

I left a star cause not all eggs can be bad in a crate,my experience for the 5 months(not even for a full session) my son was in this school was majorly horrible. Going into details will end up opening chapters and wounds I never want to visit again.Please follow up with your kids/wards and ensure things are done right,send emails and make calls cause you will always encounter a concrete wall that only God and those in higher offices can brake. Gone are the days those in the institutions of learning like Imagine Lincoln are genuinely passionate about what they do,not just for the take home pay(off course,some still exist),being a Charter School again is overated with the number of students in the class(that was the Teacher's major complaint and not getting the help needed from the appropriate quatres with all sorts of vices. New school now,peace of mind and better experience just within a short time.

This school should be closed. My son attended this school when he was in kindergarten. The teachers just skip my son and he didn't know how to read. Luckly as a parent. I caught it just in time and transferred him to public school. Where is thriving. Brandywine Elementary is an excellent. school.

Personally I like this school- from Year 1 (three years now) I was pleasantly impressed. This school does a good job of providing a good opportunity to children at no cost given the location. I like how they afford these children the same opportunities offered at private schools. I was a bit skeptical when the new principal came in in 2016 like any parent wld be but he has done a great job maintaining the school and even introducing more to the school programs. Being an objective parent I feel in any school there will be bad apples and that goes back to the parenting a lot of times. It is not the teachers job to parent our kids. The teachers here are very engaged and my child has been here since kindergarten. All teachers have been consistent with feedback and attentiveness. As a single working parent I am also very appreciative of the aftercare program, which though a little pricey is VERY convenient. It runs from 6:30 am- 6:30pm and the staff is always engaged. I would recommend this school. Before I picked ILPCS my child had been accepted at 4 other charter schools. I visited all and imagine Lincoln was beyond impressive right from the reception, uniform policy etc.

My daughter is in Kindergarten this year and so far I have had a lovely experience. The principal and vice principal rock! The staff are very friendly and supportive. My daughter loves it too! Thanks for being great you guys!

From the beginning of the school year of 2016, we have observed a complete absence of classroom decorum for the entire fourth grade. Not withstanding the multiple issues that children bring with them. There appears to be No accountability or meaningful alternative for the lack of teacher control within the classroom. Nor, does there appear to be any consequence for disruptive and inappropriate behaviors demonstrated by the eight, nine and ten year old children. It appears that children who would ordinarily and willingly participate in wholesome scholastic activities, often withdraw because of absence of order within the classroom. We believe that a licensed and qualified psychologist should be onsite to assess the root causes of any behavior the prevents any child from obtaining what an otherwise wholesome curriculum could provide. When our observations are brought to the attention of the school administrator/s, we are met with blame instead of identifying the root cause of our child's reluctance and disinterest with the status quo within the classroom. We believe that any and every child would thrive and soar in a quiet and calm classroom atmosphere without constant and perpetual disruption.

I have seen the other comments below and I don't see any issues with the school. The school to me is very kind and they do value the students' education. The principal does her best to ensure that the students' are receiving the best educational experience possible.

I heard many negative things about this school. Despite what i heard, I did my own reaearch and later decided to do the lottery for this school. This is my children's first year at Imagine Lincoln. My children have enjoyed the school year. They offer field trips, several different clubs ( band, cheer leading, game club, etc. ) The PTO is very active with the school and together they facilitate many extracurricular activities For the students and families. The staff is friendly and motivated to help each child reach there full potential. There are some children with behavior problems that may cause others to assume negative things about the school. The staff tries really hard to work with and correct the negative behaviors. I feel that those children are a reflection of their parents and the staff should not be held accountable for that.

This school is horrible! Teachers and administration are very unprofessional. They are very unorganized. Not one teacher had a syllabus and could barely advise the students' agenda. They direct traffic in head scarves. The teachers yell down hallways at each other. They take much longer than normal to find your child for pick up. I've was even told that I could go find him myself. I sat in class and the students did 1 math problem in an hour. The kids are out of control. This school is a joke and a waste of money.

Imagine Lincoln is a pillar for change. The new administration that has come to our school has created a culture and environment for success. They were given years of problems from teachers to students, and has risen to the challenge and succeeded in creating a positive environment for learning. I give Imagine Lincoln an above average rating because we've made great strides that can't be measured, but still have room for improvement.

One of the worse schools in the DC metro area Fights on you tube, over crowded class rooms. I will say some teachers are great but most don't care. I would not recommend that anyone sends there child to this school.

My child is in the seventh grade and I would not recommend sending a child to this school. They are not doing any work in some classes and teachers are absent alot. Alot of parents are not happy and they have long term subs as teachers.

I am very disappointed about Lincoln Public Charter School. Despite it moving into a new school facility, it is the same business. Despite the assistant principal doing her best to change the school, the principal fails to promote a solid, positive school environment. There are great teachers working hear but their voices are rarely heard. Despite the potential the school has it fails to remove certain students and people who hinder the academic progress. Thus, the school poor reputation overshadows the increase gains in math. This is why if I could I would rate this school with no stars.
