This school is good and all but, i feel like the teachers are not as committed as we need them to be. There are always fights and not harsh enough consequences. there is alot happening at this school and not enough discipline. on top of that our test scores are low because they have bad teaching and only care about our test scores. well be getting into the testing season and theyll give us a 20 or more slide PowerPoint on testing and our school goals, and have us test for the longest.

I think that Davis is a great school, they just don't take things like bullying seriously. But other than that, it is a really great school, and the teachers in my grade are very supportive.

this school is terrible very bad i have known the school and i learned they allow bullying. The teachers are not even help at all; its terrible, and there are more bad student rather than good student they always bully people. teach you bad stuff/words. and you have to set bouderies; otherwise, you're cooked. I have known this school very well my tip for you is if you get bullied, move a seat quickly the next day or they will always bully you. pictures are so so so so fake im telling you guys

Great school. We have been to several schools all over the country, and this school gets it right. They have academic opportunities, student support, and the teachers genuinely care. Middle school is a hard time in a student's life and education career. Davis does a good Job with making that transition a little easier.

This school is okay. They do have good teachers and they are not overlooked. We appreciate them very much. However if you get a bad teacher, and you will, administrators will not help at all. They do not take bullying seriously at all, and some teachers are bullies themselves.

My student had the pleasure of having a few excellent teachers that will never be forgotten. But my student also encountered inexperienced teachers and teachers that the administration failed to address. There was a particular teacher who I emailed and instead of responding to my email as required by CC- she asked my student what I wanted.

Very disappointed with the leadership of this school. I was told by the principal and the VPs that they have to protect their teachers. What about the students...who pay the salaries? They should feel protected as well. There is no mentoring only "consequences."

I have anxiety every upcoming year to this school. From this, I had to heavily document as well as explain to my student that this is the real world and once you learn that things are not fair you will get past this bad experience.

The teachers that IÂ’ve had to communicate really detests communicating with parents. The students literally have no books. If your child is struggling with any task, you basically wonÂ’t know until they have moved on with the lesson as they post graded weeks after the instruction. I will say out of 10 teachers, only maybe 3 will actual communicate with the parent and be informative regarding the childÂ’s progress.

Although teachers have websites to display homework and can send emails using Parentvue, it is not utilized to let parents know what the homework is. Many classes in a grade level give lengthy projects at the same time which causes hours of homework.
Posted: July 14, 2018
Some teachers are great and go above and beyond for their students, others not so much. One thing they could do to improve is put in grades in a timely manner. Many teachers wait until right before grades come out to put in grades from up to a month earlier. The school promotes Parentvue to be a partner in your childÂ’s learning but it doesnÂ’t help to think your child has an A until two day before interims come out when it drops to a D. The same thing happens at the end of the quarter. Some teachers follow certain aspects of my childÂ’s IEP, most do not.
Posted: July 14, 2018
The above attributes are not modeled consistently by the staff.
Posted: July 14, 2018
The administrators support their teachers, even when they are not following guidelines and even when they are not implementing IEPÂ’s. They hold the children to a higher standard than their own staff. They use punitive consequences instead of restorative practices.
Posted: July 14, 2018
My childÂ’s IEP is consistently out of compliance even after numerous meetings with staff.

We love this school. Our son is in 6th grade and his teachers are great and his counselor has been very helpful. His math teacher Mrs Brockett is wonderful she has helped him like math and he has always struggled. The front office secretaries are great.

We love the school, in fact their front office secretaries are my favorite, however, the school is about 85 percent African American, so the ratio guide is off. The only issue I have had there is with the secretary in the counselors office, but honestly it's just waldorf attitude.

My only regret is not relocating sooner! I wish my eldest child were able to attend this school...

I think this school is a great school. Some of the teachers are strict, but most of them are nice. Also, they have security cameras every where, even on the bus. I think that most of the teachers are supportive and helpful. I hope that the children of Davis have a great time there. Only complaint is that help is not offered after school or before without an appointment.
