The school is mismanaged. Many children just do what they want Baltimore County rules are to have cellphones in lockers during the day the administration goes against that and allows cellphone use all day at any time. Call size is about 30 in each class the 14 they quote is a joke. Unfortunately the finances are also mismanaged the teachers are told because of a budget cut the budget is now 0 I talked to the superintendent office and that is not true so where did all the money go?

I did a long-term substitute position at this school. The teachers were motivated but the student body in large part is very disrespectful and very disobedient. Part of the problem is the nature of the culture of today's children: they all use cellphones and laptops and don't pay attention. Cellphones are "against the rules" but they completely ignore that. They have learned to overwhelm the teachers with constant chatter, then they can just blend into the noise and avoid repercussions.

The staff are too overwhelmed to fill out disciplinary forms, so few are submitted. The administration is not able to handle this climate. There is minimal support for the teachers because of the overwhelming chaotic atmosphere every day. I've seen teachers QUIT in mid-lesson and storm out of the building never to return. I had several special education students who had 504s and IEPs but I never received their documentation even though I asked for it repeatedly! There is no genuine concern for special education requirements. You really have to cause a scene and embarrass the staff to do their jobs. Its not that they're bad people or ill intentioned; they are just too overwhelmed with the chaos. I've heard students plot to get teachers fired by making bogus complaints over and over.

This school was great for my child that had no disabilities and did very well academically. I do not recommend children with disabilities attend this school. They are not equipped nor have appropriate experience to handle children with Special Needs.

They deny an child was bullied by staff, they don’t want parent filing bullying reports against staff.

The General Ed teachers don’t work effectively with students with disabilities. This school also container a SEL program with students with behaviors. They do not handle the program appropriately and allow students to elope from the school.

Bullying is a huge problem at the school and staff doesn't have ability or interest in addressing the issues.

This school is really good with working with the child. My daughter is going on her second year there and she loves it. I like the communication between the parent and teachers. I also love their tune up Thursday that allow children to catch up on school work if they are behind for any reason. Good job parkville!

The teachers at Parkville work with me and respond to my emails when I ask questions. This is very important to me. My daughter loves the school.

I just finished going to that school and i can seriously say that it was one of the best 3 years of my life, sure we had one or two bullies in each grade but what school does not? And yes it is true a kid died in my grade while going to this school but you have to understand that it had nothing to do with Parkville high. It really is as safe as can be. So if you are thinking of sending your child there then dont give it a second thought! You will not regret it!<3
