Coming from a student in this school trust me, this school isnt it for your child. The dorms arent even a comfortable place to live in, the school doesnt even prepare you for college other than keeping you here for weeks on end, punishing you for for the littlest things college wouldnt.

SEED MD is a hidden gem in southwest Baltimore. I've worked here for many years and the staff are engaged and passionate about helping students succeed.

The Seed School's Vision is refreshing; however, the execution and follow through lacks what needs for success. The residential staff does not have the qualities to instill consistency and academic excellence, they are moreso, at risk youth type authoritarians (wrong venue). The classroom teachers have little to no control over the lower grades; and again, try to reign versus facilitate and teach. The curriculum and the administration is superb. However, the test scores and ability for the students to obtain and truly learn is at one of the lowest rates. The coaches are great. There are some pluses, transortation, food quality and the dedication of some staff members who try to achieve the vision Seed was made for. But, they fall very short of reaching this. What looks like a promising light in the mist of a dismal Baltimore City are, flickers out due to the mentality of so many, untrained paraeducators and persons just in the system to get a paycheck. Our children deserve better.
