I was surprised to see so many negative reviews, which prompted me to share my own experience. My daughter has been attending Imagine Andrew since the first grade, and over the years, she has consistently tested above grade level in both reading and math.

Communication with the school has never been an issue for me. I find ClassDojo to be extremely helpful and informative, making it easy to reach out to teachers whenever needed.The staff at Imagine Andrew are dedicated and creative, constantly finding innovative ways to keep the children engaged in their learning.

Compared to friends whose children attend private schools, I’ve noticed that my daughter seems more advanced academically, which speaks volumes about the quality of education offered here.

Many of the negative reviews appear to come from isolated incidents, so I felt it was important to share my positive perspective. This school is excellent and deserves more recognition. Unfortunately, people are often more inclined to write reviews after negative experiences, but I can confidently say that the vast majority of parents—likely over 90%—are very satisfied.

If you’re considering Imagine Andrew for your child, I highly recommend it. We’ve had a wonderful experience, and I’m sure you will too!

The teacher my son had promoted bullying other children in order to get the children to “behave”. The curriculum is outdated and way behind.

This school should not be a place were you should put your kids. There are fights, racial slurs, there are bugs that crawl of the floor roaches cetipedes and a lot of ants. from a student that goes here at Imagine and Andrews I would not advise it is horrible sometimes I get bite by bugs and I do not think the nurse is an actual nurse a boy was having a asthma attack the boy did not have his enhaler on him so went to the nurse and there was another kid was on the bed he was probably in the 2nd grade he had a slight skin scratch and the boy that had asthma attack had to sit down and do nothing she gave him water and it did not work at all. The teaches treat the students badly so I would not put my son/dauter here.

This school must not be financially stable. There is no reason they should be running out of food to serve. There is no reason we should be getting literal cut in half hotdog buns for a burger patty. Also don’t even look at the lunch menu. It said the students were supposed to have pork sausage and waffles. We ended up having mac and cheese and chicken tenders. This happens quite often. We get excited for orange chicken. Then when we finally get in the line to get out food. They ran out, now we don’t even get the main meal. I don’t recommend this school at all.

Students at this school are making average academic progress from one grade to the next compared to students at other schools in the state. The teachers hardly care about the students, somebody could be fighting and they wouldn't get suspended, also the principal only cares about something when parents get involved, say if a student was getting bullied he wouldn't care unless a parent gets involved.

We are a military family and when we first got to Andrews we couldn’t get our children into Imagine Andrews so had to settle for Francis T. Evans. Our experience there was awful and so we were really looking forward to our children being able to attend Imagine Andrews this year. Boy, was I wrong. This school is a thousand times worse than Francis T. Evans which is shocking. The principal will not take concerns seriously, the special education teacher fails to do her job and I have seen multiple times teachers not wearing their masks properly (under nose or under chin) right next to children who are either maskless or are also not wearing their masks properly. They also delete things off their Dojo to hide any issues being talked about or parental concerns. If you ask questions and they don’t want to answer they will completely ignore it, even in email form. Watch out having any verbal communication because they will deny things they have said which is why a lot of times emails will go either unanswered or they will call you in response, only to later deny what was said during the call. This school is ridiculous and I have seen the teachers be very petty towards other children and punish them over things that do not make sense. If you enjoy being gaslit and having your children being treated very unfairly, than this is the school for you. If I could give this school zero stars, I would of.

I am disgusted in myself that I let My child attend here more than one year! I read The reviews, I saw the test scores but still out of convinince I thought it would be ok and being inside those fancy gates it would be safe. I was proven wrong against all that my gut told me. My daughter was in a fight in kindergarten was cussed at by other students by 1st grade and when we were finally able to escape this madhouse her academics were on a level two years behind what they were expected to be keeping in mind at Imagine she was an honor roll student!

This place is a disgrace to education and not only do our children inside the gates deserve more but all of our children deserve more.

Even if Imagine scores above the 33% statewide in test scores that’s still failing our youth when it’s time for them to progress to a serious school where academics matter.

I tried to ignore the weak reviews, but I have no choice but to agree. One week after my child started school here the Math teacher quit and several months later they haven't found a replacement.

The support staff are unprofessional. When you call they either let the phone ring, put you on hold for an extremely long time, or pick up the phone & slam it in your ear! There's not enough staff and my child has been reviewing the same topic for weeks. The "professional support" staff are petty and penalize the children for small infractions that have little to do with their academic progress.

When the children ask about the teaching situation they're told that "they are a child" and to be quiet. Definitely not recommending this school. We're one and done here.

This school is fantastic! The teachers are nice and have a flexible way of teaching which worked great for my special needs student! The curriculum is advanced and tailored to the children. The school is top notch! We are now in a Mississippi school where they use common core curriculum and have a rigid way of teaching. My student is literally failing and I wish like anything we could move back to Maryland just for Imagine Andrews where my son was excelling!

This is a very good school compared to the others in the area. The teachers are very easy to communicate with. I think the homework is reasonable.

If I could give zero stars then I would! This school has been hyped up to be so great, yet it has fallen short in so many important areas. Children are punished for standing up for themselves. The teachers are very egotistical and rude to the students. I have a 6th grader enrolled here and this has been the worst school year ever. My child was an honor student and has above average scores on all state testing, yet her grades are C's and D's. This is her first year in this school and her first year ever getting anything less than a B. I have had several meetings with the teachers, but its a waste of time. The teachers have told several children to sit down, shut up and stop asking questions. One teacher stated to the children to stay in a child's place and don't question her in her classroom. The children do not enjoy this school. While I understand the importance of having college and career ready acholars, it's equally important to teach and allow the students to have fun, feel valued and be respected. I am truly disappointed in my devision to send my child here and am looking forward to the end of the year. Parents definitely do your research before sending your child here.

My daughter attended this school for part of 1st grade and the entire experience was a nightmare. My 6 year old brought home hours of homework every night that was very difficult for her to complete by bedtime. during that time, I deployed and never one time did the school answer any email I sent regarding my child's progress. When I returned I met with her teacher and asked for their help in helping her catch up with her schoolwork and was told the problem was my parenting. They offered no constructive feedback in assisting my child. My daughter hated this school and she told me she was repeatedly punished with no recess for being unable to finish her schoolwork. The teachers and administration were rude, disorganized and even after the majority of the school year could not even remember her name. The best decision I have ever made was to pull her out 3 months before the end of the school year and send her back to St John's off-base. Military parents deserve better!

This school opened in 2011 and it has been great. It has a small school feel with a lot of parent-teacher interaction. The school has been teaching one grade level above however, this year they have changed their curriculum. My child has excelled and is working at a 1 1/2 grade level above his grade. I'm not sure how this year is going to go with the change. I'm not sure if we are willing to be a part of a bad experiment.

Imagine Andrews has been a great choice for me. I really appreciate the emphasis placed on high standards and expectations. The school is very orderly, administrators are approachable and teachers work hard for the students. Many parents complain about the projects and the homework because it forces them to be accountable. If you are looking for a school that is going to prepare your students for college and careers this is a great choice. It is RIGOROUS! If you are looking for a school to simply babysit and not hold you accountable as a parent, IA is not the place for you. Thanks IA for holding the bar high!!!

This is my son's first year at this school and he has done well so far. If you place your child in this school, they will get plenty of homework. These assignments reinforce what was taught in the classroom during the school day. My son is in the second grade and suffers from ADHD. He has learned self-discipline, how to be responsible for his work assignments and hasn't had any behavioral issues at this school. I will admit that the teachers could do better with their teacher to parent communication but they are very responsive (even on the weekends) when I send them communications via email. My son maintains over a 3.6 GPA and I have been pleased with the results I see in my son's development. Having your child attend this school takes a lot of discipline on the parent's part too. The system is set up to make certain there is parental involvement in their child's learning process.

Such a huge disappointment. From the leadership all the way down to the disorganization of the teachers and other staff. Feel like we wasted a whole school year especially after it was hyped up by so many. I should've listened to those that warned me about this school. Not returning next school year, and can't wait for the year to end.

Imagine Andrews has been great for my kids. The curriculum is challenging and the kids have homework but with time management we were able to do it all and be in bed by 9. (Plus play youth sports for all my kids) One thing my kids have learned for sure is responsibility for "their work". Always do your best and do it with pride! Thank you IA!

IA is a great school of choice. They hold each child to high standards and expectations. While test scores are exceeding in this school, it's because teachers are challenging their students and holding them accountable. You don't see that very much in schools today. My oldest son, who didn't attend this school rarely got homework, so it was hard to help him and it was a struggle. I am so happy that my daughter got in through the lottery process. I do agree that homework sometimes may be on the heavier side, but I am able to help and understand what's being taught to reinforce those skills at home . I do feel my child will be career and college ready to compete with the rest of the world, thanks IA for all that you do.

Andrews AFB had a chance to build a good school here, but they squandered it. The options are now either (A) A terrible school off base, or (B) an only slightly better school on base with expensive uniforms and loads of homework. Of course option (C) would be homeschooling, and (D) would be moving to a different district. I'd recommend one of those.

I won't have enough "characters" on this text box to get my point across on how ridiculous this school is. Parents do your research on your own about this school. If you are new to the area and this base and you meet someone that talks so highly about this school then ask them how much work are the kids given? And if they hesitate and say oh yah they do get a lot of homework then I've proved my point. You don't know exactly how much work they get till your children including first graders are up past 9 pm doing homework EVERY NIGHT including WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS! Don't do your children an injustice by settling for this school because of pure convenience.

This school was such a disappointment. They're not concerned with the students learning, they're only concerned with test scores. The teachers were combative, every single one from 1st grade through 3rd grade. I tried working with them in every way possible, but the blame was ALWAYS placed on my child and us, never the real problem which is the inexperienced and egotistical teachers and the failing curriculum. When every single reading teacher told me this was their first year teaching this way of reading, I knew we were going to be in for a battle. I requested my child be tested to get her help with her reading, they made me meet with a panel of 7 people just to ask for her to be tested. They blamed it on her amblyopia, and when her eye Dr. told them they were full of it, they still refused to help her or even just test her. We moved from that base a month ago, and just after 3 days at her new school they enrolled her in after school tutoring to help her with her reading. As the previous reviewer also stated, the amount of homework is ridiculous. The Imagine franchise is notorious for sub-par education, research all the closures of their schools for yourself.
