PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS CHEAP SCHOOL. but also so much staffs because of the damn fights, did I also mention on how the teachers and staff are quitting because of their pay rate lower than their own students grades. Give it out to Mr watts for making math problems more difficult than they actually are, and give it out to miss Goodrich she doesn’t do anything bad she’s a good teacher but just strict so shes pretty nice. The school floors are dirtier than my own hair if I didn’t wash that thing for a month. Also the staffs why the hell was they talking about H mart when a student was skipping class so freely? Like hell and I get in trouble for what? Having glasses the wrong way. WHEN I ASK FOR HELP DONT REREAD THE QUESTION I CAN READ IM NOT 2.

I’ve been requesting a call, email and in person to speak to administrators. It’s take my child being physically assaulted & now threats of cutting/stabbing my kid are being made and school says call police, police say call school. Someone better take action

The parents are being very overdramtic, the bullying at our school isn't really serious.At our school everyone has their own groups so people DON'T get buillied. One of the parents said something about special education kids and the other kids we don't ever interact because they are always in a different hallway and also leave class 5 minutes early with their assistant.It may be over crowded but it helps you very very very well with your social life, on great thing about our school is the Avid program I very much recommend.Of course a bad teacher will happen every once and a while but overall i love my friends, teachers,principles, social workers, and janitors really is a good school that has a bad rap.

It’s a real shame, but when I went to this school years ago, the bullying was out of control. I saw kids getting tormented daily. Teachers didn’t do a single thing about it. They would just ignore it all together. It was really terrible. It made so many kids middle school experience extremely awful. My nephew goes to this school now and I’m upset to say that nothing has changed since I went there. Teachers STILL don’t do a thing to stop the bullying. There’s emotional trauma and physical, too. Kids getting punched by each other in the hallways, verbal bullying, and isolation for some kids who have been ostracized by the majority for being different or from false rumors spreading by others. Something needs to change asap.

The bullying at this school is so rampant. Threats of violence from boys towards girls with disabilities persist, and the bullies get to stay without consequence leaving parents to decide if they want to have their child learn from home. The bullies should leave while the good kids get to stay. It's unfortunately the other way around. The way for your kid to survive this school is to join a club to have an immediate built-in network of other kids they can hang with.

My daughter's advisor undoubtedly has negatively influenced our experience. From when in 6th grade she was unexpectedly slapped in the face, caught in camera in the lunch room, and the advisor chalked it up to a girl "tiff", to taking almost a year to schedule an IEP for my daughter after requested in writing, the administration has a lot of work to do so become even adequate. Thumbs down all the way.

No respect! I saw students fighting, teachers afraid to intervene, vulgar language in the hallways, it's horribly overcrowded. The students are as stressed as their teachers, always in a rush.

So many students are sent to the office every day and see almost no consequences. They don't take anybody seriously. Smaller or quieter students don't stand a chance. It's painful to see student behavior outside the building and in the hallways.

We decided to withdraw our son after three months. He felt threatened and not safe. There is no supervision when the students have to leave the building to go to their classes in the trailers, I saw several fights happening. There is nobody to protect the students "out there". And there are 10 (!!!) trailers there!
This school is seriously overcrowded and it shows in every single aspect. Some teachers are burnt out and simply don't have the time to manage so many students and support every single child appropriately. They have little to no support from administration. I was especially shocked by the "leadership" and how they react to concerns.
Bullies are back in class after one day in detention and the cycle recontinuous. There is no efficient intervention.
It would be an amazing school but something has to happen - soon! It is too dangerous for our students and our teachers!

Little to no consistency, very low expectations. Teachers who assign homework are punished and students do not get any additional practice at home.

As a parent of a child that graduated from Perry Hall Middle, I can say I was pleased with his experience there. Academically, I feel like the teachers did a good job preparing him for HS. Socially, he made some good friends at the school. They also offer a variety of clubs and sports teams for the kids to get involved in. The one knock I would have on the school is that it is overcrowded. I'd say there are probably 25-27 students per class which can be a tough environment to learn in for less than studious students. But I feel like the teachers manage to do a great job in spite of this.

This is by far the worst part of the school. Have not been able to communicate with a counselor, assistant principal that understands a parent's concerns. Physical attacks between students are seldomly reported to parents totally violating BCPS Code of Conduct. Forget about filing an online form about bullying: they have an automated letter for that.

The school is severely overcrowded. I don't understand how it can get a 9/10 score on greatschools.org when it is at 120% of capacity and expected to reach 126% of capacity next year (2018) and almost 130% in 2019. It doesn't have adequate facilities to support 2,124 students, which is more than 477 students above maximum capacity. Already there are multiple trailers on the grounds (I believe 8 last time I checked) and the school will need more if they are going to add even more students to the school. With all the new buildings in the area, the situation is only going to get worse than predicted.

As a parent of a 6th grader I am very happy with the education and staff communication at PHMS. I was reluctant at first after hearing complaints about the school; however here I am more than half way through the school yeat and I am very pleased. The level of education and the communication from teachers has been wonderful. Learning does not come easy for my child and this quarter he earned Honor Roll. This is the first time ever!!! He gets off the bus daily with a smile. Yes it is crowded but the staff has worked hard to alleviate as much of this situation as possible. I also attended the 6th grade field trip and was pleasantly surprised as to how organized it was. Way to go PHMS!!

I am a 7th grade student soon going into 8th grade. Yes, my school is very overcrowded and can be overwhelming for new students, but my experience has been just fine. To be fair, parents are very over dramatic about the conditions at the school. You are able to get around fine, especially after some new guidelines they've implemented. Most students are respectful with the exception of some lousy, misbehaved students. The music programs and clubs here are phenomenal, and so are the school sports. The concerts are amazing. Again the over crowded thing is a problem, but do you really thing perry hall has enough money to build another school? Perry Hall Middle School is a pretty good school, and if you are afraid of the size of the school, consider moving elsewhere.

The school is severely overcrowded and in dire need of relief. Currently there are over 1,860 kids in the school that is built for 1,643 students. In just two years the school will be 478 students above capacity. There is no redistributing in the pipeline and there is no new school being built or even on the drawing board. Perry Hall is not anymore the great school system that is used to be. If you are thinking of buying a property in the area I would look elsewhere.

Ive had 2 kids in this school. The last one was 7 years ago. What a diffrence 7 yrs makes. Its so crowded someone is going to get hurt. My son cant get to his locker. His friend whom his small for his age gets bullied daily. The teachers are amazing but its turning into a city school bec of overcrowding. There is gangs from the city here now. They all live in Dunfield. DONT MOVE HERE. THEY ARE SAYING NO CHANGES TIL ATLEAST 2020.

School is over capacity and there is no plan in place to alleviate this. 6th graders (there are about 700) are supposed to have classes in the 6th grade "academy" section of the school, but this is not really the case-they have classes all over the school. I witnessed bullying behavior and unruly students in the halls (during parent visitation week) and watched teachers do nothing. You can barely move through the halls between classes, and they won't stagger the bells like other middle schools in Balt. Co, do. Attending a concert there is like taking your life in you hands. There's basically no parking at the school, everyone parks at the shopping center across the street and darts across Joppa road where there is bad lighting and no crosswalk. Administration does not ask for help from the police dept for managing the traffic or pedestrians for these evening events. Be sure to get there 30 minutes early if you'd like to get a seat. My kids tell me there are student fights at least once a week. There has been no communication from the administration to the parents about addressing behavior issues. It's disappointing that we pay higher taxes here in PH than surrounding communities, and this is what we get.

Yes, the school is overcrowded, but most of the kids I've encountered have been very respectful to adults. Yes, they have brought in trailers to help alleviate the overcrowding issues. I truly believe that they should construct another middle school in the area (with the same caliber of educators and staff) to help remedy this. We moved to this area just so our daughter could receive an excellent education, and we have not been disappointed. She is in the GT program and is constantly challenged by her teachers to push even harder. There are many clubs for students to get involved with. I can't say enough positive things about PHMS; I'm so glad we moved here- our daughter is receiving a stellar education!

I visited this PHMS today. To say I am disappointed, is truly an understatement. The school is so overcrowded, the children run wild, some teachers have NO control over the classroom, etc. I left the school drained.

We purchased a home in the area specifically because of schools. I should have saved the money spent on the mortgage and paid tuition at a private school. The students are rude, filthy mouths, aggressive, and mature beyond their years with the opposite sex. Unfortunately, the mild mannered and well-behaved children are fed to the wolves and ignored. I cannot express how disappointed I am with PHMS. The schools has several trailers to accommodate the increasing number of students. Some children eat lunch at 10:30am. Before you register your child, make an unannounced visit...you wil be shocked. Don't be fooled by the luxury cars and $500k plus homes in the Perry Hall/White Marsh area. That doesn't equate to a quality education.

I am upset that I have subjected my child to such an environment...in the pursuit of higher learning.

Perry Hall Middle School is a great platform for going into higher learning. In addition to standard classes, Perry Hall middle offers a variety of opportunities, including Honors and GT level classes, as well as an assortment of elective opportunities. Teachers are amongst the best in Baltimore County.

I'm an 8th grade student here, and I have to say I'm going to miss this school. It has wonderful clubs, teachers, students, and administrators. I personally joined NJHS and I love helping out with the World's Fair. The school offers GT programs and an All A's breakfast to celebrate your accomplishments. I have only had one teacher that I haven't been thrilled about (he gave up to 2.5 hours of homework some nights), most teachers are very helpful and memorable. Although there is the occasional "fight," it is quickly resolved, especially with the help of my vice principal, Ms. Duncan (she's awesome!). Overall, this is an excellent transitional school that prepares you well for high school, college, and even beyond. Good Bye, PHMS -Alyssa, 8th grade :)

Perry Hall Middle School offers excellent academics, and extra-curricular activities that prepare our students incredibly well for High school. We meet students' needs to get the best performance out of them in the classroom, and still challenge them to go above and beyond. Using top teachers, administrators, and an encouraged student base, we work together to educate and teach our students not only in academics, but in prospering through their lives. With so many other fun and inviting school pride activities such as; the undefeated basketball teams, various successful clubs, and helpful student council, we are not only a successful school, but one any child would completely enjoy themselves here. Speaking for myself and other 8th grade student there we wouldn't want to go to any other school. We love it here, and trust me. You. Will. Too!

I'm currently a 6th grader and right from the beginning I loved it. All the teachers are helpful and willing to answer questions. There is a HUGE library and so many new people. I absolutely love it there. I'm going to miss it when I go to High school. There are numerous clubs and there's always a program for everyone. If u are trying to decide what middle school you're going to, I highly recommend PHMS!
