Looks like we have some parent bashers. Perhaps some parents feel their are entitled, not here. Kid learn real values of respect and hard work. Well I can share I have been a part of this school for 14 years! 2 kids k-8 and this school is Wonderful! my kids are better with the experience they received at ST. Patrick's. Many of the teachers have been at St Patrick's since day one 19 years ago, you don't see that in most other schools. Thank you St. Partick's teachers for raising my kids during school days

My kids go here and It is TERRIBLE!! The Principle Is rude and doesn't solve problems the right way!! My daughter got bullied once and when I told the teacher they said they would tell the principal but I have gotten no response! DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!! My Son is in depression Because of how many kids make fun of him. The staff do NOTHING! I REPEAT, DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HEREE!

There are definitely some devoted and hard-working teachers, but there are many that are just there for a paycheck. It doesn't help that there are too many kids in each class either. Unfortunately for my daughter's grade, most of the boys were out of control and constantly taking up valuable teaching time needing to be reprimanded or quieted down. Children were able to access way inappropriate websites (and in several different classes) with it all going unnoticed. No firewall in place I guess, but more importantly, lack of supervision. This went on for months until it was finally addressed.
Even worse, bullying is not acknowledged nor handled properly. I should have followed my gut and left 2 years prior to finally actually taking both my kids out. The cherry on top is that my daughter was falsely accused of something absolutely absurd and the principal immediately shared it with our new school without even checking the validity. At first glance, it appears to be a loving community, but step outside of their beliefs and rules and you no longer exist to them.
If you're looking for a strong catholic teaching experience, that is valued over academics, this place would probably be a good fit.

Yes, there is homework during weekdays but not usually for weekends. There is a package (Math and Reading homework) for Summer time.

Principal has no background or education to help her deal with children. She acts quickly but more often than not makes the problem bigger.

St. Pats offers great resource teachers, and smaller group instruction in Math and Reading. I've only ever heard good things about the resource teachers and accommodations some families have needed.

I've found Ms. Short to be very passionate about the school, and setting a high bar for the students to be positive examples of character, and for the students to have meaningful opportunities to grow in their faith. Her heart for service to others is evident, and she brings that important aspect of our faith to life every day in school. She commands respect, as did the principal before her, Susan Splendido. Having firsthand experience, I can say with confidence that the board and Home School Association have many volunteers who work hard to bring parent suggestions and ideas to the table. All seem very dedicated to continuous improvement and growth, to keep pace with our well-funded public school system that surrounds us.

This is ABSOLUTELY a focus at St. Patricks. Not only do the teachers and administrators set a high bar for integrity, compassion and respect, many families do. The service projects that are a beloved part of what makes this school a special community teach the students on a regular basis about caring for our neighbors, giving back, and being a leader when it comes to faith and character. The sports teams also focus on being a good sportsman, put your hand out to help an opponent who falls. I have seen our students in basketball, soccer and track be the most respectful players. It is discouraging to see so many young people mouth off to refs, as an example. St. Pats coaches and parents tell the students to leave that to the coach and always be respectful. May not happen in every instance, but it is the majority of the case, and something the majority if the families support as well.

No bullying is tolerated and the staff/principal quickly deals with any potential issues quickly and fairly.

I cannot say enough great things about the teachers. From Kindergarten on through middle school, the teachers care! They care about the student as a person, about their faith, and about their academics. They also help coach, sponsor great clubs like Speech and Mock Trial for middle school, and they show up for so many of the student events. They know each student and family by name, and they make attending school fun. My son comes home often with great anecdotes and stories, and he loves going to school. I know I would not have the same experience in our local public school, and i think it is hard to find many schools that have the number of experienced teachers who stay with a school, and not only teach but support all aspects of the community.

This school is a special place where children are nurtured and where values are taught and practiced on a day to day basis. The principal is caring and eager to help out whenever there is a concern or issue. Academically the school is strong. Kids receive smaller group instruction in both math and reading on a daily basis and Spanish (K-8) and Latin (in 8th grade) are offered. Kids are well prepared for high school and the focus on helping the disadvantaged/poor is taught by example. Helping others, being kind and developing character while learning academically makes the school a perfect choice for anyone considering Catholic education.

I feel like the homework is supportive of the work and lessons that take place during the school day. It is excellent practice for the students to review on their own, to hone their skills. The teachers are receptive and responsive when students have any challenges with concepts. It seems like a very wise approach in how many of the teachers use the homework, not just as a gauge of student performance, but as a way to keep tabs on teaching, and insuring concepts are being learned and practiced before moving on to the next topic. We've been especially pleased with the math and english instruction in this regard. Many teachers offer open hours during lunch and break to students who need extra coaching, and even after school time when projects or tests may have the student needing extra practice. They are flexible and truly want to see students reach their potential.

We've been at St. Patrick's for 8 years now (K-7th) and we look forward to completing our elementary and middle school years here. We love this school. Small and caring environment, focused on developing character and integrity in its students. We are always complemented on the polite, smart and kind students that St. Pats sends on to other high schools and our surrounding community. The academics are appropriately challenging, and the small break out groups for Math and Reading are beneficial. A second language is taught from Kindergarten, and Latin is an option in 8th grade. So many positive things can be said about this school, and top among them it is the kind of school I hoped my child would have as his experience, and it has surpassed my expectations.

Our family is very pleased with the school. We Love the close bond all the families have with each other. As in any school, you get out of it what you give as in time volunteered. The teachers are great and caring and the principal really gives all she has to the school and her students.

Principal is not fair to students. How can she expect to teach and understand parents issues when she is not married or has children of her own. Certain families make the decisions at the school and drive the decisions. Even when it is not in the best interest of the child. Their image is more important than the child. Where are their catholic values?

Teachers truly care about the children and go the extra mile. The school also needs a new Pastor at the church. He lacks the skills to unite the parish and the school.
