The quality of this school has gone down significantly in recent years. All the makings of a great Montessori are there. The facility is nice. The teachers are knowledgeable. The Director has great experience in the area. However, overcrowding has caused the school to lose the feel of a true Montessori. Instead of "following the child", they focus on normalizing children to rein them in. They rush children through the learning process and many students get lost in the shuffle. I have had two children attend this school for a number of years and ultimately made the difficult choice to withdraw after too many issues I could no longer ignore. Cathy Perolman and Shelby Hiken are great teachers! Unfortunately, now they seem overextended and rushed. I even had an expert come work with my child in the environment for some development issues and they assured me the issue wasn't my child, it was the school. I tried to bring these issues to the attention of the director, Sabrina Fioretto but she seemed more concerned with defending the environment than making it better. I hope they get back to a child focused learning environment. Until then, I'd pass on this one.
