Reason for a 1-star. My overall experience wasn't an issue. It was the fact I was told I wouldn't run into any problems enrolling in any colleges if I graduated early and here I am 2022 trying to enroll in UNCFSU but I was rejected because I only had 3 math credits and I need 4 in ordered to be accepted. The lady I spoke with at UNCFSU noticed that I took a Financial Literacy class and she let me know that if I contacted someone that confirmed that they could count that as a Math class they would accept me into UNCFSU. I understand that CHARLES COUNTY counts it as a fin literacy class, but for the sake of me getting into college they still said there is nothing they can do. What an annoying inconvenience. That can be solved but they rather be stubborn.

St. Charles High School is a great school. Do not be fooled by numbers. It is a new school with amazing scholars and elite athletes. The administration and teachers are doing a wonderful job building a family atmosphere and setting the bar for future classes. The support staff keeps the school and grounds immaculate and the coaching staff bring out the best in our super athletes. St. Charles is on the rise. Let it be known.

Bullying/Social Media Bullying/Fighting is at a ALL TIME high at this school, the administration does nothing about it... This has created a hostile and depressing environment for our babies... Alot of the children have reported depression and experienced some sort of bullying, not to mention the introduction to drugs. I would NOT recommend this school...

-10/10. Do NOT let your child go here as they will most likely either become a drug addict or severely depressed and suicidal, but most likely both. This school creates depressed, drug addicted, and mean-spirited people from regular kids.

Half the teachers I had there would do nothing more than give us a part in a textbook to copy or read for the entire 80 minute class periods.

Many of the teachers at this school are younger and unable to maintain order in the classroom. That said, there are a handful of younger teachers in the areas of honors science and history (LSN and AP Human Geo) that not only know their craft but are also engaging and passionate about the learning process.
Posted: July 25, 2015
The amount of homework given is sufficient to enforce the learning experience. I don't know that additional homework would equate to increased performance.
Posted: July 25, 2015
Nothing about the faculty or students would suggest that integrity and honesty are not (excuse the double -) enforced and encourgaged. The principal successfully demonstrates and expects this of each student and teacher.

Overcrowding combined with the lack of parental guidance/support for many of the students makes the learning environment less than ideal. However, the teachers of various subjects in the honors program have been spot on with my expectations. Specifically, the honors history (LSN), honors spanish, honors science, AP Human Geography teachers deserve awards. They are truly engaging. Many of the other teachers could learn from them. Even the Phys. Ed. teacher and Freshmen guidance counselor demonstrate their passion for the overall learning experience and betterment of their students.
