The teachers are good and the academic curriculum is strong, however, it is not a welcoming community. The families that have lived there for generations are not friendly, kind or welcoming. It does not matter how nice, or how much you do to support the school, they simply can't be bothered to have basic polite etiquette or any class. The mean kids are just like there parents, and there is no accountability by the parents, so the bullying perpetuates for generations at this school. Furthermore, the administration (Principal) has done nothing to address this and seems to favor the mom clique that literally controls the school. If you are not one of them, your child will have a hard time. For a school that claims to promote qualities like kindness and compassion, it is only lip service because they do not promote this at the school. It is a rude, classless culture, and very unwelcoming.
