Terrible. The teachers don't do anything about students cursing at each other in class. They don't do anything about bullying.

Having substituted in the school, I find it hard to award one star. I know their are good teachers and good students striving to do their best, but there is no way I would send a child of mine to CSDHS. Sadly, there are few alternatives, making it even more important to slice where changes are necessary, and commit to improvement in discipline, teaching and truth.

I attended CSD a few years ago and I can tell you that it's not a bad place to get an education. I was in the Gifted and Talented Program and then took the AP classes offered, as well as competing on several sports teams. CSD is one of those places where you'll get what you make of it. If your child needs constant hand-holding, it may not be the best place. It's a regular school, just like any typical American high school. No better, no worse. Test scores may not be ideal--this isn't so much the fault of the school as it is the effort and dedication of some students and a challenging demographic situation. If they come in to CSD with a good attitude, want to learn, and want to stay out of trouble, they will succeed. Teachers were always very supportive and interested in student success. I usually wanted a bit more beyond the standard curriculum and they were especially eager to point me in directions that would further my interests and enrich me intellectually. I was very prepared for college, where I graduated as the Most Outstanding Graduate in my department from my selective liberal arts school. CSD really helped prepare me, and I have begun a wonderful career.

The school is a joke. There is no discipline and all the administrators in this district care about nothing else except their overpaid positions.
