Great School.. I graduated 10 years ago and I still go back and visit my old teachers. Feels like family.

Harford Tech is a highly academic school. we have hands on activities to help the students experience the lesson being taught. Harford Tech has a positive and culturally diversed environment.

As a graduate from Harford Tech, I would have to say that I feel as though my experience greatly prepared me for college and the real world. I was in the Nursing Assistant Program where I was exposed to a variety of clinical experiences and nursing education. When I entered into my Bachelors of Science Nursing program at college I felt as though I had a huge advantage over my classmates especially during clinical. I had already overcome the anxiety of that first clinical experience, patient care was a breeze and hospitals already felt like a second home. I excelled in the classroom as well having already been taught the basics of nursing and how to analyze those dreaded nursing test questions during my 4 years at Tech. Working my way through college the certifications I received through Harford Tech also allowed me to gain a position in an Assisted Living setting making far more money than the average college student. While they may not have state champion sports teams or a dozen AP classes, I wouldn't trade my high school experience for the world!

This school has been wonderful for my child. Coming from a private school the adjustment was great. The teachers are very good and the students have respect. I am very grateful for this school

I am a graduate of Harford Tech, now in college for engineering. I enjoyed my time at Tech, mostly because it was not challenging and allowed for goofing-off. Upon arriving at a college, I realized that, despite what school officials and teachers had insisted, Tech had, in no way, prepared me for college. I graduated 6th in my class with a 4.4 GPA and was not ready for college. Tech offers none of the higher level classes found at other schools and the overall course offering is quite limited. The methods of teaching at Tech do not reflect college, either. Most teachers promote high calculator, note, and book dependence in classwork, homework and on tests. While this does, as they say, simulates the "real world", it does not simulate college, much less prepare students for college, resulting in skewed rankings and GPA's. A "smart" Tech student is not a "smart" student at other schools. This results in Tech graduates being able to get into a wide variety of colleges, only to realize they are not prepared for college. If I had to choose again, I would never had gone to Harford Tech, instead choosing to attend a real school and actually have a chance in college.
