The business department, most of the science department, some of the english department, the art department, are all amazing. Especially the business department.
I have met with and talked to all of the counselors and half of the administrators. C Milton Wright is full of good people, from special education to physical education. Other than Mr. K who forced my friend to keep walking with a torn knee muscle and abrace.
Biggest issue are the bathrooms. Students smoke, trash, and or gather within them between and during classes. It's pretty bad.
There are plenty of events to entertain students, it's LGBTQ friendly (for the most part), and the only big complaint I have... is Hogwarts Day.
I think it'd be cooler to have students dress up into their house attire, instead of having it decided by school year. Go Hufflepuffs.

Both my daughter's have excelled at this school after transferring from another school in the area. AP classes are widely available and their busiiness classes were exceptional. One daughter has graduated and made deans list her first semester away at college. The other has AP and business classes and has straight A's!!!! Congrats to all who participate in the success of students there. Well done!

C. Milton Wright is a great school with experienced teachers. I'm currently a Sophomore in the Engineering Program and it is very challenging, but I'm learning so much and I'm really enjoying the challenge. CMW also offers several AP classes which are also very challenging (as they should be), and I feel these classes are preparing me for the workload I'll experience when I attend College. The teachers at CMW care and make themselves available if you need help with certain materials if you're having trouble understanding. Based off my experience as a current student attending CMW I think this school provides me with several diversified class cirriculums and a great environment to be successful.

As an alumni I feel lucky to have been able to go to such a good high school. Despite a lot of reviews written here, which are in response to a former students slanderous youtube video, the staff here really care about the students. An overwhelming majority of students at this school have a great experience and are grateful for everything CMW has to offer. I hate to see this school get so much hate because it really is one of the best in the county.

please don't go here. it's disgusting; staff don't care if you get bullied OR assaulted, no matter HOW sick you get or WHAT ever happens, they will NOT let you go home. staff talk behind students' backs, staff chooses what the student can and cannot post on their OWN social media, they do not care about the students' mental health. 0/10 would NOT RECOMMEND.

vile. teachers gossip ill of other students. school gets involved in what students post on their private youtube. mean girls run year book editing. students should NEVER decide what goes in a year book because they are extremely biased of other students. nurses are not compassionate and diss students that are ill. defending yourself from attacks seems to be against school rules because you will get kicked from a club if you try to protect yourself from injury. specific students arent allowed communication devices that are essential to speak with parents. this place needs deep cleaning

As a minimally involved alumni, i would like to say that this was a good school to attend. It seems to me like a wave of people who hold a grudge against the school gave bad reviews. The academic environment of the school seems very misrepresented by the majority of these ratings.

It depended on the class. The more difficult/compact the class, the more homework.
Posted: January 13, 2020
Almost every teacher i had was very enthusiastic and passionate about their job. They made a conscious effort to continuously create a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Like most schools today, bullying isn't tolerated. I didn't encounter any accounts of bullying. Needless to say, i'm sure it existed. Although, I highly doubt that anyone, especially teachers or staff, would ever turn a blind eye to it.

1/10 I had a terrible experience, I was bullied by teachers and students , I barely learned a thing and had to take an online course and get tutored along with going there.

This school is terrible. The staff treats their students very badly and overall this should not a place to go to school. It's more like a prison.

Bullying at this school is very common and the teachers and the staff don't do anything about it because they simply don't care.

Consider a different school. Until this school has a complete change of staff and policy it is not a healthy place for teenagers and young adults.
Posted: September 12, 2019
No investment in the students wellbeing. Many of the teachers will give preferential treatment to some students while singling others out in negative ways. The teacher often turn a blind eye to bullying as well and do not offer help to students who may be experiencing hardships.

The staff allows abusive behavior while punishing or humiliating students who ask for help
Posted: September 12, 2019
The leadership is abysmal. They make no effort to assist students who may need help due to problems at home, bullying at school, mental illnesses, and the list goes on. The school nurses and administrators are extremely rude and dismissive towards the students which makes coming to them for help even more difficult. They also provided a suicide hotline number that was not correct which could have had fatal consequences.

The staff absolutely do not care. The turn a blind eye to bullying. They do not engage in mediation sessions or any way to diffuse situations between students. They do not make any effort to separate students from others that may be abusive towards them and sometimes even refuse to allow students who have been assaulted to leave class.

The teachers don't care about students. The homework most of the time was useless.

There is no leadership. The principal is as egotistical as he is ineffective, and the students don't even know who the vice principal is because she stays in her office all day instead of monitoring classroom behavior.

If your child is zoned for C Milton Wright, I would seriously consider looking at some of the magnet programs at other schools. Until they address the complete lack of leadership issues, this school will continue to be a disaster.

CMW provided me with all the opportunities and knowledge needed to allow myself to become a successful, contributing member of society. The teachers and staff were knowledgeable and cared for each and every student - no matter the circumstances. I highly recommend CMW to anybody and wish the best for all the staff there.
