Overall a standard middle with an extremely good academics program and some very intelligent students, however unreasonable staff and a few violent students.

Pros:
- Most teachers seem standard but genuinely care about their students (some teachers and staff are so nice it could make a grown man cry)
- Extensive academics classes that are provided
- Most teachers provide a reasonable amount of homework
- Useful classes on useful topics
- Can easily fit in with other students
- Disability education is likely good (I haven't looked into it too much)
- Amazing test scores

Cons:
- Some teachers provide extreme amounts of homework, usually a result of incomplete classwork that is unlikely to be completed during class due to an unrealistic work rigor expectation
- One way to compare hardness between two objects is to see which object scratches another. The pizza crust was able to sand down a plastic knife. The only lunch options are usually extremely oily pizza, a sad cheese stick with yogurt, and either an extremely bland assortment of molecules or "fecal matter" on a paper tray
- Extremely poor administration that is unable to solve the many problems that this school has. They have been unable to:
- Solve a violence and incivility problem
- Remain unbiased as the administration (and administration only) tend to favor females and some ethnicities more than others
- Remain reasonable regarding rules (for example, two friends of mine talked whilst moving their hands a lot and maybe, they nearly got sent to lunch detention for "touching each other")
- Overwhelming amounts of brainrot

Great school with great education! The only problem I would give is the lunches at BMMS. They aren't really appetizing and the lunches are hit or miss.

If you are considering this school for your child, I would advise against it. Students often do not feel safe due to frequent incidents of violence, and the administration is highly ineffective in many ways, leading to teachers who are not passionate about teaching and leading to a decline in students' interest in learning over time.

I hate this school with a burning passion because the students are so bad + too much homework assignments if your a teacher reading this I hope you know I hate this school so much

It depends on the teacher, to be honest. Most teachers give a good amount of homework, enough to keep you busy without going overboard.

I hear that the administration is better than it used to be. That's good because I don't dislike the administration with a burning passion (like in elementary school) (administration did practically nothing in elementary school). The school intervenes when it needs to, and doesn't when it doesn't need to.

I honestly don't know that much about this program but I have friends who have ADHD, down syndrome,and dpression and we all get along really well.

We have folders with slips that you can fill out if you or someone you know I being bullied. We've had almost no need for these slips since bullying just doesn't happen often at all. They do keep cyber bullying in mind too.

Our old principal( Mrs.Roberson) is gone now and we have Mrs Lidgard instead. She has made a lot of improvements to the way the hool wroekd. The music program is amazing and we get to lorx of fun things

Our math teacher wanted to help someone durring the holidays last year so we all pitched in and helped make holiday dinner for five families. We think of the entire school as a family and treat each other with respect.

Ms. Roberson is a very poor successor to Dr. DiPaula. Ms. Scaiffe, the Assistant Principal, is wonderful.

I do not believe that the school plays an active role in this area. Most students are well-behaved and respectful due to their upbringing at home.

There is entirely too much online homework. We often spend more time figuring out how to access and complete assignments online, than on the actual assignment.

This school is only good because of the many students and parents who support high academic achievement. As far as the climate of the school, it has significantly deteriorated since the new principal, Ms. Roberson, began her tenure. She has poor leadership skills, the students do not admire nor respect her. She is rarely visible in school functions, and has allowed bullying to increase substantially. Her apathy is apparent in several areas. She has alienated much of her staff and many parents. I sincerely hope the county will remain vigilant and place a more qualified principal very soon.

Awful. This school was riding on its reputation, at best. Now there is a new principal and she is clearly going to run it into the ground. My daughter was assaulted at school in May. Second degree assault charges were filed and the student was "permanently" removed from the school. I was promised by the former principal and director of Middle Schools that the student would not be returning and that if there were ever ANY chance of him becoming reenrolled, that my family would be notified and the county would work with us to create a safety plan for my daughter. This week, my daughter arrived at school to find the young man who hit her in her classroom!! The school, while admitting it made a mistake, refuses to correct the situation, refuses to reassign the other kid, and refuses to ensure that my daughter will not be assigned to the same classrooms as the kid going forward. Instead, the principal, Ms. Antoinetee Roberson, insists that the other student has done nothing wrong and that I need to wait for him to hurt my child before she can do anything. I reminded her that he already hit my daughter who wasn't the first student he had attacked. The principal rebutted, "yea, but that was last year." Hello! It was just 4 months ago. She persisted, "but this is a new fiscal year." She is impossible, unprofessional and disrespectful, and violates the policies of the county she works for. Be warned.

The Centennial Elementary/Burleigh Manor Middle/Centennial High School neighborhood is extremely diverse with involved parents and academically competitive students. It has been a great experience for all three of my children to have a bigger view of the world.

Towards the end of last summer, we bought a home, that is one third the size and ten time older than our previous home in Ellicott City, for the sole reason of being in the Burleigh Manor/Centennial HS district. After only four months of my daughter's attendance at Burleigh Manor, notwithstanding the hardships of moving from a large new house to a smaller and older house infested with problems, my wife and I, including our daughter, can safely say that we made the right decision.

I am moving from NYC to Maryland and I did some research on the schools and found this is one of the best schools and am looking forward to going there this fall
