Fantastic administration and staff, my children have received a wonderful education at TSES. The teachers and staff are invested fully in the students. The academics are rigorous, but accessable. The student body diversity is what drew us to the area; the strong and involved community is what keeps us here.

Terrible. It’s been a constant frustration advocating for my child at this school.

Teachers assign busy work (write fact families 20 times in different colors) or they print off sheets from the internet without previewing them, the kids can’t complete due to errors. Most of the time the teachers don’t even review the completed homework turned in by the students.

Talbott has some excellent teachers that really care and some terrible teachers that are down right rude to students.

I have complained several times regarding teachers not doing their job correctly and nothing happens.

This school will tell you they are working with your special needs child but in reality they will let your child fall further and further behind. If you have a child with a learning disability - this is not a good school. I don’t think their special education team has the proper training.

We love this school! My child is in third grade and the teachers have been loving and effective. The school has a great emphasis on caring about each and every student and family and really supporting them so they succeed. The principal provides amazing leadership to the whole school community.

There isn't too much homework, which is important to me.

THIS IS MY SONS SECOND YEAR AT THIS SCHOOL. WHEN WE MOVED IN I WAS NOT SO HAPPY TO HEAR PEOPLE SAID THAT THIS SCHOOL WAS NOT SO GREAT. BUT WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAID THE TEACHERS ARE GREAT. AND THE PRINCIPAL SHES ALWAYS OUTSIDE I MEET HER ON THE FIRST DAY I CAME TO REGISTER MY SON. ITS A SMALL SCHOOL BUT THE STAFF IS GREAT.AND WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM PARENTS WE CAN MAKE IT BETTER.

My daughter only attended a little over a year gor kindergarten and 1st grade, but EVERYONE was great and the teachers were on the ball with trying to keep her up to speed. They also really tried to make it like a big happy family. Great environment. The staff was amazing as well as kind and helpful. Wish we could have stayed in that zone but we were renting a house that went into foreclosure and had to move suddenly... Great school though!!! :-)

I think the school's staff is amazing. they are young, energetic and keep the kids busy all day long. They are always holding events to strengthen the bond with the parents, children and the community. Not in the best neighborhood but so far it seems that the children are safe and well taken care of during school hours.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen staff at this school go above and beyond! They advocate for their students, encourage enrichment and family involvement. Teachers are great, and my kids go on about 5 field trips each year. They seem to get to know each individual student and their strengths and weak areas and are willing to be flexible with rules to accommodate individual children s' needs. I am, and have been, very impressed with TSES!

You know the TV show jingle "Everybody knows your name", well that place is TSES. As we all know public schools are whatever you make of them. In TSES they put very high effort to get parents involved within the school community, this way very few -if at all- child falls between the cracks. I am saying this as a parent, as well as a volunteer who spends great deal of time in the school. Everyone in the school puts 100% effort for the children's well-being, not just the teachers. In addition, they always have something going on to involve the whole family as well as encourage children for extracurricular activities. If TSES is your child's school district you are a lucky family :)
