My daughter has been going to this elementary school for a couple years now. This is her 3rd year attending. She has absolutely loved all of her teachers and the staff. I have always had good communication from the teachers and I've received replies from my messages and emails very promptly. My son is in his first year of attending and his teacher is wonderful.

My son attended Marley Elementary and had wonderful teachers from kindergarten through second grade. After being redistricted to a different school, he truly missed Marley and the positive experience he had there.

My son is in 5th grade. I am so happy to say that he has attended Marley Elementary school since 1st grade. He has had the most amazing teachers. I just couldn't imagine him being at any other school. This year he has really come out of his shell. Hsi teacher Ms. Knofski is wonderful. she communicates with us which is amazing. He has experienced the most amazing clubs this year. Seaperch was his favorite. Thank you Ms. Knofski for making his last year in elementary a memorable moment. Thanks to the amazing teachers along the way Kveck (1st grade), Ms. Fraschanti, (2nd grade), Ms. Montgomery (3rd) grade, and Morris (4th), Ms. Knofski (5ht grade). Great job ladies. Thanks for being a very important part of my son's journey. We are so excited that our younger son will be attending Marley 2023-2024 school year. Thanks MARLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL for an amazing journey and for keep the children safe.

We teach our so to respectful and show compassion. His teachers always told us how respectful and kind he is. I am so happy the school embraces respect and kindness.

My son was hurt by another child intentionally The principle called me personally to let me know that my son was doing fine and that they do not take the situation lightly. I really appreciate it.

Overall, I am giving this school an average rating. I love the teachers. My kids have been lucky to have caring teachers. The only reason I'm giving it an average rating is because the first person you see when you walk through the doors is a very short tempered, rude lady at the front desk. I have never seen this woman be nice and respectful to anyone. Marley administrators and staff...please know that parents want to be actively engaged with their kids education. This is the first impression that we get when we walk through the door and it is not a good one. I've heard other parents complain and say that she's been at the school forever. THAT does not mean she can be rude and disrespectful to parents.

They'll blame everything on your child. Especially if your child is unable to articulate specifics of an incident.

My son has high functioning autism, and attended this school from 1st-4th grade. His 1st grade year was fantastic. His teacher was wonderful, the special education staff were great, and the principal was outstanding. The years after that were a complete disaster. The school hired a new principal who I rarely saw her first year, and the special education staff changed. My son started getting physically assaulted, and the administration blamed it on my son "misreading" social cues despite videos showing otherwise. Things were getting so bad that I had to reach out to the superintendent due to the incompetency at Marley. Avoid this school at all costs. In addition, the tests scores have gone down tremendously since the new principal started. You can check out Marley's horrible rankings at schooldigger.com.

This is our first year at marley. My daughter is in kindergarten. Her teacher is fantastic. The school is great and we have no complaints. The new principal has done some great changes and I can't verify any of the negative comments that have been said about the school. The principal knows what she's doing and is leading the school in a phenomenal way. They take care of their pupils. They took care of the overcrowded bus in a quick way, they redirected traffic on the school property, the school is clean and safe. The front desk staff is always friendly. I can only recommend this school. There are students from all backgrounds, it is very diverse. The Kindergarden teacher is amazing, she working with the children. My child is already reading and riding above grade level and is very good at math.

This school has been phenomenal for my third grader. She is reading at an above-grade level and has never really liked reading. I have noticed her reading in her free time now, which I am so thankful for. In general, my daughter enjoys school and has made a great group of friends there (a lot of whom live in our neighborhood, which is nice). We moved to the area from Montgomery County and were hesitant about this school. After having my daughter there for almost a full school year, I feel that this school does not get nearly enough credit! I have no complaints and feel comfortable sending my daughter here. We will be sending our son there this fall as well. At first we looked into private/charter schools in the area becaues the rating was 7/10 (it just dropped to 6/10, not sure what influences this), but everyone I spoke to said this school has been great for them, so we decided to try it out. Success!

Marley Glen Elementary School I have to express my admiration for the teachers and staff there. They are invested in seeing that the children have every opportunity. It is a very special person who can work so well with the many differences the children have. They are, to a person, caring and kind and show compassion well beyond the average.

My son, who just completed 4th grade, transferred to Marley at the start of the 4th quarter of Kindergarten. Every single teacher he has had at Marley has taken their time to learn his specific learning style and adapt to it. In particular, Mrs. Dennsteadt, his 4th grade teacher, has made a true difference in my son s life. He had her as a teacher a previous year, so we requested her again as soon as we learned she was moving to 4th grade. Mrs. Dennsteadt is an effective and fun teacher. She even invited my son to stay in class after school on Wednesdays, because she knew I got off work early on Wednesdays and would be able to pick him up, for the 5 weeks leading up to the MSA (MD State Assessment) exam, for 1 on 1 tutoring to prepare him for the test. She did this, she explained, because he was so close to grasping the concepts and strategies from class, and she knew that with a little extra one-on-one reinforcement he would fully understand. That, in my opinion, is a completely dedicated teacher who truly cares about each individual student, and we are SO LUCKY that my son had Mrs. Dennsteadt as a teacher for 2 years!!!! We love Marley Elementary AND Mrs. Dennsteadt!
