My expiriance at Maryland City was the best. All my teachers were awesome, and I was sad to leave it. The school itself is cool, with a newly built gym, and fully renovated. The kids there were uniform. You have the opportunity to become a safety patrol in the 5th grade. Maryland City is in a passive part of Laurel, not to far away from Brock Bridge Elementary. Overall, Maryland City is a great school. You should enroll your child there.

My daughter is a first grader and is doing extremely well in her classes. She loves her teachers and her class. Her reading has improved a great deal from Kindergarten, and she really seems to be blossoming here. She can't wait until she is old enough to take on an instrument. We attend most of the events held at the school, the last one being the Multi Cultural Fair. I have also signed on to chaperone a field trip in January. My daughter attends the after school program through SACC as well. At the end of her school day, she joins about 25 other kids of all grades in the gym for after school care. Her homework is always finished when I pick her up at the end of a long day, and she has made some great friends from the other grades. We love Maryland City and their after school program!

This school is really going downwards since the new leadership. Teachers are not encouraged to teach the children at a higher level. The scores can get better if the leadership was not trying to keep parents out of the school. They do not encourage parent involvement. I have been having a hard time trying to get my daughter into advance studies since she is complaining that she is not challenged.

Maryland City, excellent, great, fun, exciting, great principal, a nice theme, great teachers. Also Principal knows every student by name and is very involved in the daily activities of the school.

I have two children who attend this school and I am extremely happy with the education that they have received. All of the teachers are committed to help each student and the community environment that is created by this level of care and concern for one another is amazing. The principal is top notch and I can't speak highly enough about the Kindergarten staff. I am so fortunate to have such a group of wonderful educators working with my children!
