My daughter had the best 4th grade teacher! She enjoyed all the fun activities and flexible seating options in her teachers very accommodative room. Especially the couch. Shell definitely miss 4th grade! Furthermore, this school has been great to us.

My older son attended Piney Branch ES between 2000-2004 and we loved the school. He had great teachers and the opportunity to participate in the advanced math and reading programs.
Being a Latino mom, I loved the multicultural environment that reflected so well the values of Takoma Park.
My son graduated last year from UMCP with a bachelor in E Engineering and I think he owes a big part of his success to the education that received in this school and the other local public schools that he attended.

We are so fortunate to have Piney Branch as our neighborhood school. I would have chosen it from 100 others. One unique thing is that PBES has a swimming pool on site and the students swim as one of their PE units.

Teachers, Staff, Students and Community make this a wonderful place for children to learn. Many parents debate whether to keep their students in this school or to send them on to the highly gifted centers. My vote for my younger son is to have him stay at PB. I want my children to have the love for learning which is encouraged at Piney Branch.

Mrs. Dubois and Mrs. Nelson are outstanding leaders who know all of the students individually. The staff and teachers are outstanding as well. The school has a very private school feel to it in that the teachers all know the students so well and are in tuned with their needs. We are lucky to have such a wonderful school in our neighborhood.
