As a parent of a child with a diagnosed disability, I am extremely disappointed in how the Lisbon School Department has handled our recent experience. Despite informing staff of my sonÂ’s medical condition, he was publicly humiliated, misunderstood, and treated in a way that lacked compassion and accountability. Attempts to raise concerns were dismissed or redirected, and the district failed to take responsibility or offer a genuine resolution. Communication is poor, and there is a clear lack of understanding around disability accommodations and studentsÂ’ rights.
No family should have to fight this hard for basic respect, awareness, and support. I hope meaningful changes are made, because right now, the system is failing the very students it claims to protect.

This place sucks, it's like hell to be at. It's ok if you're a cis, white, straight, guy but if you're not it's terrifying.

if your child is athletic they can habitually ASSAULT others without consequences
. they claim everything "was out of camera range" and "will talk to the children involved and who witnessed it" and just blatantly don't. Special Ed staff are spread too thin to be effective.

This school is a "get by" school. It has limited programs No home economics, no wood shop, no culinary, not Much of anything other then reading,math, and bare mininums. Art and music is limited as well as other programs many other Schools offer. Its not just the middle school, the high school is Actually worse off.
