SDHS has a high focus on STEM, is standards based, and employs a "thinking outside the box" approach to learning. Students have opportunities to apply learning in "real-world" and "hands on" situations. From monitoring clam beds on Sears Island, to boat building, to robotics, archaeology and even in internships within the community, this school offers more than your average school and is definitely above average in its supportive environment.
