My child switched to this school this year. Nothing but one disappointment after another. Horrible school. Children are not offered the help they require, assignments are half explained or not explained at all. Teachers arent held accountable, communication or is little to nothing. When my child asks for help via email, it takes days up to a week to get an answer and most times the assignment was already turned in. I have to be copied on all emails and I always have to jump in and prompt the teacher to respond. Very frustrating. The test scores are low as a whole. The school itself is horrid. Old rundown and dirty looking with a horrible odor. I was beside myself and physically upset when I first saw the school. Im so sorry I made the live to Brunswick and I fully intend on returning to our old community. I cant wait as my child thrived there. I would highly suggest not choosing Brunswick for the schools.

I would say that the teachers are getting lazy & not teaching! The students have a sense of " I dont have to if I dont want to" There are no consequences for bad behavior or for students who dont participate but rather give them an after school program that intrests them instead or refer them to Special ED even when the student has the ability to do good work

Their are a few of really Great teachers at this school like Mr Kosak who make children want to learn but the school could use more like him

Many disrespectful students! The teachers & staff dont hold their students accountable for their actions but they ask the parent of the student to come in to solve conflicts! They actually reward bad behavior with ignorance or fun after school activities! As a parent it can be aggrivating to see the attitude of students that can do as they please & dont have to participate if they ddont feel like it.

Their are some really brilliant kids that attend this school but leadership is forgotten! Their Guidance is really lacking & the kids form cliques/groups, some of which are rude & disrespectful!

For children with a lack of amibition but are pretty smart or have done well in the past the teachers would rather send them to Special ED instead of setting goals & getting that student back on track! They dont set consequenses for not getting work done but they instead make the work easier.

This is a great school. I have a great learning experience. Mr. Kosak is a teaching mastermind. Rick Scala and Wendy Arzate are a 1-2 punch. Steer clear of Laura Hench.

If you have a special needs student,be prepared for a hassle and a lawsuit. Administrators are in desperate need of ethics classes and professional behavior guidelines.

The School has Excellent teachers, Strong principal/school leadership-with Civil Rights and Anti Bullying Programs. We have Challenging academic programs throughout the year. If you want your kid to have a good school year then send them to Brunswick Junior High. You will be glad you did!

This school is a wonderful place for students. The staff is outstanding and the principal, Walter Wallace, is an educational powerhouse. Great job everyone!
