In all the years I have been in school this is by far the most Rasist and uninviting school every day the n word is said and when I speak up about it I get suspended. Teachers dont slow down for students or provide needed information for the work, they give you papers and send you on your way. And the school principal is the worst she picks favorites and doesnt give anyone the time to speak she interrupts and it takes the superintendent to get her to do her job correctly.

This school has not changed and if it has, it's for the worse. The principal doesn't listen to students' concerns. Also, their literary skills are the worst I've ever seen. I thought my skills were average at best, but now that I've been here, I think it's way above average. Seriously, half of the high school students don't even know to capitalize an "I" or end with punctuation. Most students don't want to learn at all and the teachers do nothing to make them want to, either. I somehow had a better learning experience in Cadillac schools where students were constantly trying to fight and where my one teacher gave me lunch detention every day for not looking her in the eyes when talking. This school is a joke. (Although I do appreciate the few cool and nice teachers)

Mesick School has really went down hill. Some if the students are just not happy about learning. I feel is in part of how they treat their staff. I'm not sure if it is the school board or administration. Some of their favorite people have either been shifted around or let go. This has seemed to had an effect on my son and his friends. I feel that if you're not related to the staff you don't get treated as an equal. I as a parent have over heard the secretaries talking with the elementary principle and laughing about a few people. This has happened more than once. This does effect the learning process. As far as the sleeping in cardboard boxes that took place a few years back....one of the secretaries was caught in one of the boxes in the night by the boys mother, with no consequences. This is the kind of stuff that drives up parents crazy. There are many other things that effect Mesick schools performance but I felt I needed to add a comment in response to the one about the "great" box for real life moments.

This is one of the worst schools. Out of 7 teachers my daughter had only one cared to help her. The teachers just do not care. They are only there for a paycheck.
