Lebanon High School might be slightly better than other Missouri schools but, that is not really saying much. My family has been lucky enough to have lived in many states and 3 Countries during the life of my children. Lebanon is lacking and behind many states and many other schools. Taking days off, field trips, and college visits to only stack on home work for the student is not education. A fruity Principle walking around spouting nonsense and being more worried about his twitter account is not "great" leadership. When students walk by teachers and faculty members cursing, rough housing, and even fighting all the while not being corrected, is not "educating". I believe Lebanon could be so much better but, a house cleaning would be in order. I would take the professionalism and skills of Joel E. Barber faculty any day over what I have seen from our first 5 years living near Lebanon High School. It is no wonder Nixa, Camdenton, Waynesville, and other schools out rank them on many levels.

I think Lebanon Highschool fantastic They have great teachers that care about the school and the kids. The principal is very good in his leadership skills. I would tell any parent that this school Is one of the best here in missiouri.

The teachers here are below the adequate level required to teach their respective subjects. However, in rural Southwest Missouri the schools are not known for excelling in academia. There were some teachers - who despite the pressures to abandon academia for other matters (sports, popularity, recreational activities) - who were able to invoke a desire to strive further in education. Knowing the school environment would never be sufficient to propel students into more esteemed universities they spent time with students outside of school to teach extraneously the subjects not sufficiently covered. The people are good people, but their misguided focus leaves much to be desired as an institute for educating students.

They need to service the lower economic class more. They need better trained people than what they have. The concentrate on fancying up the place and not enough on caring for ALL students.

Mr. Kevin G. Lowery is the worst principal in America. He is close-minded, rude to students, self absorbed, and offensive. He has made snide remarks towards foreign exchange students on the morning announcements (which are entirely too long) boasting that our country is "better" than theirs. If he would open his eyes for one day and see what is going on outside of his snug office he would see that not only the students are causing a problem, but also the unfair and discriminatory teachers and administration.

Had some great memories from this school, but they focus way to much on things that don't matter. Rather than trying to be, "The best high school in America.", they need to be focusing on more activities for kids that are not involved in sports or band. Also, the way they present things sometimes seems sarcastic and/or unenthusiastic as if some of the people that are helping with the events don't really seem to want to be there. Another thing is they feel like they need to be rough and tough on kids that "wander the halls", for a senior who has worked their tail off the first three years of high school so they could enjoy an easy senior year, what would you expect? A lot of seniors that worked hard and got most of their credits out of the way freshmen through junior year, deserve a little down time, especially since most of us (college or not) are leading successful, fulfilling lives. Were kids, not learning machines, ease up there guys, remember that everyone has to learn who they are by freedom of expression. What I would like to see from LHS is a little more creative freedom than there has been, and the teachers being slightly more involved rather than picking favorites.
