Started Kindergarten this year and love the staff. My child is high energy and has been able to meet with Ms. Tomlin who has done wonders. She is caring, communicates daily (via email), and is great with positive reinforcement.
Ms. Ryan who does adventure club is the BEST! Lots of fun activities and focuses on teaching life skills to the kiddos as well!

Your student could be falling behind and you will not be informed until he or she is completely failing

They make you download an app to communicate with the teachers. The teachers do not respond to any of your concerns or questions on this app. You can call the school and leave multiple messages and they will not return them.

The teachers fo not respect nor care about the childrens well being.

My child had another child expose himself to him. Multiple other students witness this incident and the school refused to do anything. The school continuing to allow this other student around mine knowing that as this students behavior continued. A student grabbed my child my the neck and the school stated they did not believe it happened even though two other children stated they saw it. This school will not help your child if he or she is being harmed or bullied

I would not reccomend any parent send their children here

I’ve met one teacher who I felt like had any idea about my student on an individual level.

Posted: October 17, 2018

They sang religious songs in choir despite claims to diversity forcing me to have a “who’s god” conversation with my child without knowing our religious background. They taught my child rather than report a child for bullying or bad behavior to deal with it herself.

The office staff acts like they hate their jobs. They have horrendous attitudes and lack professionalism and effective communication. My daughters 2nd grade teacher was a nightmare. Her 3rd grade one has been good so far, but they also lack follow through. Her 2nd grade teacher told me he was going to have her tested for advanced classes, never did. He said at the end of the year he was recommending it for the beginning of her third grade year. It never happened.

I can’t say about disabilities but to my knowledge of recognition of a child’s gifts if they are talented they definitely don’t follow through with fostering that and molding it.

Posted: October 17, 2018

“Deal with it yourself” is not effective.

Posted: October 17, 2018

Absolutely horrendous. If I could I’d pull my child and place her elsewhere. The attitudes lack integrity and professionalism. They lack compassion and understanding, and they don’t build value or morality within my particular child. She came home literally singing “In My Feelings” by Drake that she learned at school because her teacher played it in class. This is a song about sex, capitalizing on a man because of his “net worth”, and is highly inappropriate for an eight year old.

I used to work for the district and this is the worst staff I’ve ever dealt with.

Posted: September 27, 2018

The school puts too much on the students.

Posted: September 27, 2018

No my kid was put in a class with 31 kids, with a teacher that jokes about shoving them in a closet and beating them.

Posted: September 27, 2018

No this school fosters a sense of hazing and bullying. There is no compassion here.

Posted: September 27, 2018

Ineffective. Supposedly my child is misbehaving, but I haven’t seen any plan.

Posted: September 27, 2018

Absolutely not, this is a my way or the highway.

Posted: September 27, 2018

No, the teacher punishes the whole class for the infraction of one, then tells the other students to thank the student for the extra work... it fosters bullying.

My children are not safe at this school due to situations that have happened that the school has tried to conceal.

Their educational teaching is behind, and teachers allow play too much in the class instead of learning. The parents might as well home school their children to get them the education that they need.

The fund raising money goes into some type of black hole, where there is no improvements to the class room or field trips. Also, if there is even 1 field trip during the entire school year, it is poorly planned and the teachers loose track of the children.

The school is only about reaching the attendance, even though the nurses are quick to send a child home for anything, including things that would not effect the health of that child or other children. There are always multiple children that are not sick or injured in the nurses office waiting to be picked up by their parents (that have to take off work multiple times per month).

Davidson is one big family. We work hard together and support each other and the community. The teachers care about the students and work hard to foster a safe and positive learning environment for kids.
