The school may deal with bullying but it is not effective, how can it be when the faculty itself are bullies? Bullying is every where in this school but it is thickest in the elementary side, starting with the Principal's office.
Students are afraid, they are intimidated, they are stressed over the current atmosphere. Many students feel that they can not trust certain teachers or faculty and some have expressed that they do not feel safe with certain faculty around.

At the first of the year we found the school very favorable, however as the school year has progressed we have discovered there are many dark corners within this school. Our elementary children have gone from loving school to hating it within one year, from high honor roll to failing at least one subject, from worry free kids to stressed out and crying children. There is something seriously broken within this school, mainly the elementary side. This school, the elementary building is failing it's students.
Until something is fixed, we will rate the school as a whole as failing and will discourage anyone from sending their kids here.

Some classes come home with homework every day, others may only have homework a few days out of the week.

A Teacher is only effective if their students understand and comprehend what they are taught. Our students have been frustrated multiple times because they did not understand a lesson well enough to complete their homework. Students are not always able to get extra help when needed due to sports, or arrival/departure times or Teacher schedules.

This is not true for the elementary side. They may talk about what good character is but they certainly do not follow what they teach. Students are seeing examples of being judgmental, critcial, discrimination, assertive aggression, twisting the truth or lying all together. Students are being intimidated by the Principal, being instructed not to talk to friends or even family about certain issues, encouraged to snitch on fellow classmates. Within the JH section there are teachers who criticize and degrade students in front of their peers.
Trust and respect are the farthest things from what the students are learning.

Leadership on the JH/HS side might be effective as it seems the older students respect the Principal and teachers. However leadership on the Elementary side is failing greatly.
Effective leadership is not showing people that you crave power by using your position to intimidate others into submission. Leadership is not gossiping about students or families especially while in front of students. Leadership is not speaking negatively about a certain class in front of other classes/students.

They expect our children to walk 5 blocks to catch a bus. The principal is very rude.

The principal doesn't have these values how can they teach them. Honesty and integrity is something the staff doesn't practice.
