My kid went here recently and he loves it he loves the football team the teachers and the students he's from a Hispanic background and he feels very accepted here he even has his own friend group

There is a high rate of homeschooling in the area. Students who do not fit into the norms are sidelined, discarded or forced out.

Posted: January 6, 2019

There is rampant racism and bullying in the schools. The district's idea of correcting this is to have a pep rally or 2 each year, instead of actually trying to educate the kids on what racism and bullying look like, and how to effectively deal with the situation, either as a teacher or as a student. It is almost as if it is condoned.

Sports stars and model students will find the district useful and helpful. However, if you are low income, of a different ethnic background, or have a learning disability, your attendance is at best tolerated - and at worst they try to sideline you or force you out of the district so you won't have to be dealt with. A 1950's educational system for a 2019 world. The top administration needs replacement.

There are lots of worksheets and practice tests for the annual standardized tests. Very little emphasis on critical thinking skills.

Posted: January 6, 2019

Look at the test scores for low income and disabled students. Being an effective teacher is about reaching the difficult students, not about helping just the best students.

There is rampant bullying and racism in the district at all schools my children have attended. When it is pointed out, nothing is done to correct the culture of the students in the district.

Posted: January 6, 2019

The district scores have fallen each of the last 5 years. The top administration is only interested in how the football team does each year. Communication is poor at best. At best, it is a system designed to turn out compliant workers for jobs that no longer exist.
