As a parent of a second grader, I feel I should share my concerns about what is happening at this school.
This year has been unsettling. Our child's second grade teacher suddenly disappeared. There one day and gone the next. Parents were told she quit but through the grapevine we have heard she was possibly fired. The lack of transparency and conflicting information has made it difficult to trust that we are being given the full truth by the school/
More concerning was a reported gun threat involving a second grade student. From a parent perspective, it did not feel like the situation was taken as seriously as it should have been. Communication was limited, and it seemed like the issue was quickly minimized rather than addressed openly.
Beyond these incidents, the school appears to be struggling with staffing and resources. Classrooms feel stretched, and it is evident that more teachers and support staff are needed to properly support students.

Awesome school! *small community of students so every kid counts *wonderful principal *parents are very involved *great, challenging curriculum *standards of behaviour and knowledge are high while maintaining a level of care and love for the students.
