In my experience, this school did not prepare my son for college. There were programs that I never knew new about. My son had an IEP but still did well in class and and had a social skills class. He graduated with a 3.4 GPA. When he went to college he was unprepared to handle college life and his grades suffered greatly. He received straight A's in all his math classes in high school but he could only manage a C at community college. He may have been coddled too much in high school so the transition was too great for him.

We’ve had really good experiences at Staley with our first child. Our second child to attend is getting ready to start there and expect it to be the same.

I had a teacher who wouldn't ever work with me and my friends when we were confused. Also, I hear bad things from upperclassmen math and science teachers except a few.

My friend got bullied and her parents threatened to go to the board and every time she went to some lady in the office, she kept saying it was her fault and that it's high school so she'll have to deal with it.

As a student, I love our sports department and I love that we are a great school! But every school has negative thins that come with it.

This school has some major issues that need to be addressed and ironed out. My son was the victim of bullying, and my phone calls to the administration were dismissed and didn't appear important to them. They are obviously not on the same sheet of music with each other, either. The principal is subpar, at best (sports are much more important to him than problems in his school). I could go on for days about their questionable means of running their football team and favoritism towards certain students. I can say that there are some teachers who are great, and some who can't return parent phone calls or emails to save their lives. Not impressed whatsoever.

The teachers at Staley are really cool. They work with you and get to know you on a personal level. This year they started Falcon hour, which is like an hour for lunch where you can go get help in a class, personally I think it's a big flop! I really don't care for it, but I must say the have found a schedule that works! The sports are good. I really enjoy the football! They just need to figure out the kinks that they still have but will get their someday! Over all I like the students, we're like a family!

I am currently in my second year of going to Staley and I love it here! The teachers are amazing. I love to go to football games because everyone has AMAZING school spirit (it also helps that we win a lot) The Gifted/Talented Program is really great as well, we even has a special counselor who helps you get on the right path to college. The campus is beautiful and the layout actually makes sense. Staley offers a ton of electives for just about every interest, and we have tons of fun clubs. Once every three weeks we have two days out of the week where we go to "Direct Intervention" and it is a good time to make up tests or get extra help. Staley offers plenty of AP, Challenge, and College classes so it is very well equipped for the student who wants to challenge themselves. Staley also has great performing arts teachers, they are all fun to work with and they push you to be your best. The orchestra is phenomenal, the marching band is spectacular, the choir is amazing, and theater is wonderful. The cheerleaders, dancers ("emeralds" & "diamonds") and band all perform at home football games and they are FANTASTIC! All together Staley is a well-rounded, fun, and student-friendly school.
