My family and I were very anxious when preparing for our child’s upcoming school transfer. After reaching out to multiple local schools, Ms. Katy Lineberry stood out with her quick response and great attitude. She took plenty of time to explain every requirement and help me finish all the paperwork. Her kindness and careful work calmed all my nerves. Children mean everything to parents, and I could not ask for a better person to assist us. I’m confident my child will receive great care and support at this school. Thank you sincerely for your hard work and dedication, Ms. Lineberry!

I worked at this school from 2023-2024. This was the worst job I've ever had. Some of the kids can't read and admin don't let you know that when they walk in the room. The behaviors are bad and admin doesn't do much about it. I was cursed out multiple times. Low academics, no sports, weak admin, large class sizes. They will graduate kids who haven't even been there the entire semester, high teacher turnover. Teachers don't dress professionally and are extremely unprofessional. Admin are very sketchy....

This is just like any other public school in the city except no sports. Don't send your kid here unless they are smart enough because with all the behavior stuff, they won't learn much.

My son 2nd grade teacher was very eager when school started but I’m sure she never imagined the behaviors she would have to deal with. She cannot teach because of the disruptive behaviors. The school has behavioral staff but why aren’t they dealing with those disruptive kids. Instead they leave the disruptive kids in the classroom and other kids have to put up with hitting, screaming, throwing, kicking. So yes parents all of this is happening to your child. Luckily my son came home and told us. The kids get no support from administration instead they try to tell your kid that these incidents are accidental. When the kids go outside for recess the adults who suppose to watch them are on their phones. There is a major problem with supervision at this school. Between the behaviors and kids walking out of class I can’t see anyone learning anything.

When the administration changed it changed everything. Teachers leave after a year or two. Classrooms with unruly kids cause the well behaved to suffer and staff blames it on the child. Administrators speak with your children in parental ways without consent. Many teachers cause low self-esteem and major doubt in the child. Super strong parent involvement and they tend to listen to the parents via surveys and such. If only that were enough to change how children were treated (and I assume staff with their high turnover rates). The school had 3 p.e. teachers in one year. The good teachers don't stay. School was called off in 2022-23 at least 3 times because of plumbing, system alarms, and electricity. The school never had these issues in previous years.

This school has a highly negative environment. It is toxic, and while the school brags about its focus on BLM and racial equality, it is in fact a school that furthers racism. If you are a wealthy white parent, you will do okay here. If you are from a lower SES and BIPOC, you will not be treated with equal say, power, or care. Do not trust the pretty photos and claims, this place is a very negative environment. I would not recommend this school for anyone's child.

Kids punch and bite teachers and are then dragged through the halls. Staff are underpaid, and there is no transparency within the administration or board.
