What is different at Lead this year? We had our child go there because of the student focus and positivity, but have felt different this year.
I never would have expected to stop in to drop something off and hearing office staff belittle and gossip about students and staff. In front of parents and students! Why is this allowed to happen?
Why do our students needs come second to office gossip, and students get pushed back to class when they are not regulated?
Why is it ok for my student to hear staff talk about them and expect them to just keep going?
Why has the communication been so poor this year?
This is not the same school it was just last year!

The ironically named LEAD fails to fulfill federal requirements for students who have IEP and 504 documentation. Moreover, the principal sets forth policies and procedures that clearly disregard the plans written for students and guaranteed by federal and state laws.
Inappropriate and unacceptable communication is unfortunately the style of the principal.

If your child is one that doesn't need guidance, then this is your school. The children can work at their own pace. so if your child's pace is pretty much non-existent (like mine), then you and your child will struggle here. They have free time several times throughout the day that do their work but again this is not ideal for children that need help staying focused.

Currently, LEAD is a pretty good school. My only problem is that, of all the classes, ELA seems to have the most flaws. The teachers are quite nice, don't get me wrong, but the class is just the worst. Otherwise, LEAD has a lot of great bonuses for those who go here. The school teaches people well, engages students for once, is Built for IEPs and 504s, seems rather safe, and doesn't try to take parents' jobs away from them.

This school is very bad they do not teach your kids about anything, and they allow kids to get bullied without doing anything, and overall just sucks if I were you I would just go to a different school

It is fun, the teaching style is very different and can help people that prefer that sort of teaching style. Most of these reviews say that this school is bad, but keep in mind it was built 6 years ago and they are asking students what they should put in later down the line. Others say that this school is racist or doesn't help the mentally incapable, but the racist ones are the students, and the mental kids have their own teachers that assist them with assignments.

This is not a school for students who are on a 504 Plan or IEP. They do not have the resources, understanding, compassion, or proper training to handle students with special needs.

This is NOT a school for children of color. The academics are not worth how they'll demean and ALLOW bullying of students of color. These are not my feelings. This is ALL documentated.
