If you want your child to truly grow, go beyond expectations, and excel academically, this is the school in Mississippi that makes it possible. What sets it apart is not only the quality of the teachers, but also the environment created by the students themselves. The friendships, healthy competition, and shared ambition push students to study harder and dream bigger.

I believe my daughter would have done well academically at her previous high school, but she likely would have remained comfortable and complacent. This school changed that. It brings together some of the most intellectually curious and academically driven students in the state—young people who possess not only strong academic ability, but also depth of character and thought. Being surrounded by peers like this inspires students to challenge themselves and pursue goals they might not have imagined before.

Each year, numerous graduates go on to attend Ivy League universities (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, and UPenn) as well as other top-20 institutions such as MIT, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Vanderbilt, and Emory, where they continue to excel in highly competitive environments. Their success reflects the strong academic preparation, intellectual rigor, and culture of ambition fostered at this school.

At the same time, many graduates choose to remain in Mississippi, where they become leaders in their communities. It is remarkable how many go on to build successful careers as doctors, lawyers, and other professionals who contribute meaningfully to the state. The school not only prepares students for elite universities, but also instills a strong sense of purpose, responsibility, and aspiration that stays with them throughout their lives.

If you feel your child is bright but bored, capable but not yet dreaming big, this is the school that can challenge them, inspire them, and help them realize their full potential.

I have a graduate and a current student and this school has been an amazing experience for them. They love the challenge of the classes and the other opportunities and experiences available there. The teachers and staff is amazing. My oldest was well prepared for college, which has made the transition super easy for her. GREAT SCHOOL!!!

The teachers expect a lot out of the students. They are teaching the students to work hard, not only in the classroom, but also in life.

They do give a lot of work, but these students had to show their ability to handle a large work load when they applied to the school. The work keeps them motivated to keep going and do their best.

My son is confident, strong, and happy due to his experience at this school. His attitude towards life is much more positive.

This is one of the BEST SCHOOLS in MS. I was just there and it is so AWSOME. No one can teach you what MSMS teaches you. 5 STARS all the way.

The parent who gave a 2 star review on 10/9/2007 has me confused. The claim is that MSMS is not "regionally accredited" and therefore your child was not considered for the Hope scholarship. I'm pretty sure that the Hope scholarship has a Georgia residency requirement. MSMS has a Mississippi residency requirement. It seems to me your complaint is more that you were not allowed to double dip due to your residency discrepancy, not that MSMS did anything to hinder scholarship consideration. MSMS has sent kids to universities all over the world. Cal Tech, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Mississippi State, University of Mississippi, University of Southern Mississippi, Millsaps, MC. Those are just some of the schools my classmates went to 25 years ago. MSMS was the reason they had the opportunity to go such places.

My daughter will graduate from MSMS this Saturday. I did not want her to go. I felt she was too young and immature to make it in the strict and challenging environment of this boarding school. Well I was wrong. She not only has survived but excelled beyond my wildest dreams. It is very hard since she is competing with brilliant kids but she dug in and studied her behind off and will graduate with a 3.8. Not perfect but she has learned so much at MSMS that she wouldn't have had the opportunity to learn at her home school. I highly recommend this school. It was worth my heartache from missing her to see the awesome and confidant young lady she has become.
