The staff turnover is extremely high. Requesting basic communication regarding transportation is like requesting a million dollars. They have a new transportation company, and the level of communication is non- existent. I understand that it can be overwhelming to create bus routes, however, if you say that you're going to send bus routes and email updates, make sure you follow through. If something comes up and prevents you from sending the bus routes, an email update should be sent letting the parents know. It's that simple. My daughter will not be going next year. It's always something with this school.

School doesnt protect kids from bullies.Our experience with Unity Classical Charter School was heartbreaking. My son went from loving school to not wanting to attend because bullying created a hostile learning environment. I repeatedly reported incidents and asked that they be documented, but I felt little was done. I had to demand a safety plan; no administrator ever suggested one or other interventions. The bullies even falsely accused my son of making a school shooting threat. I asked for it to be documented to protect him, but it wasn't, and I saw no accountability. As a parent of a child with an IEP, I constantly had to fight for accommodations. It took over 18 months for the school to explain athletic accommodations, despite my repeated emails. The Athletic Director never communicated my son's needs to his coaches. The administration appeared welcoming, but I experienced poor follow-through, weak IEP implementation, and inadequate protection for my son. I would not recommend this school, especially for students with disabilities.

Would not recommend working at this school. Incredible amount of staff turnover. Many leave due to administration and lack of support for teachers and staff. Do not send your child to this school or you will be disappointed.

Teachers, common core mathematics even though theyre advertising being for Singapore math methodology. Violence corrupting in the classroom due to special needs children who dont have adequate learning spaces. Difficult for students to engage or pay attention due to the disruptions. They also are not following parent Bill of Rights rules per North Carolina.! our underage student was shown content they should not have been shown to under fourth grade.
Unable to reach to administrators for addressing concerns appropriately.

If you want your child to experience teacher led instruction without hands on activities in the classroom do not send your child here. Head of school is not an honest person and is only concerned with making oneself look good to parents. There is no communication to give teaches feedback and all they will do is throw you under the bus. If you want treated fairly as a teacher I do not recommend working here and if you want your child to be actively engaged and not be taught in a teacher lecture classroom I do not recommend this school.

Unity Classical provides a rigorous education for my scholar. The teachers are passionate about the curriculum and truly invest in their students. The school also has a virtues curriculum that supports teaching to the whole child. I love my school and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a strong and positive educational environment for their child.

We love the staff at Unity and have been fortunate to get really caring teachers each year. There is a lot of parent involvement and so many fun activities that they host.

I had high hopes for this school based on their impressive presentation. The curriculum is excellent, and some teachers bring it to life, but beyond that, everything else is downhill. The school lacks the necessary social-emotional support, having neither a counselor nor a social worker. This responsibility falls unfairly on the teachers.

Parent involvement is mediocre at best, ranging from over-involved parents to those who can only support through donations like myself and some who are completely absent. The PTC tries their best, but their efforts are limited when they do not have enough volunteers.

Safety concerns are significant and poorly addressed. The school prefers to handle issues internally, avoiding expulsion to retain state funding. This approach compromises the safety of other students. My own child became a target of an aggressive student who was merely shuffled between classes rather than properly disciplined. Despite repeated incidents, the aggressive student remained, causing ongoing harm.

Overall, this school fails to handle critical situations appropriately. Dont be misled by their claims. Although they may attribute their shortcomings to being a relatively new school, common sense and competent management are severely lacking.

Middle Schoolers suffer a lot because Unity is a mess!! The math teacher never shows up and some teachers are super mean to them. I cant believe what my child tells me what some teachers say to the students!
Elementary is a bit better but far from a great school. The curriculum at Unity is good but I think the teachers need to be more prepared. The students often bring a lot of incomplete classwork to get done at home and the classwork is incomplete just because they don't know how to do it!!!
