My child has attended ALA for 3 years, and after this school year we will be transferring her. My child is in a chaotic classroom and administration could care less about offering the proper help to ensure all children are in a stress free environment where they're able to learn. School JUST started and she dreads going. We've dealt with her current teacher before and know that she's doing the best she can.
They don't keep us in the loop on issues going on. I've found out more from other parents than administration, It's extremely unfortunate that it's gone downhill. We really did love this school.

this is my 4th year at this school, sadly, and i absolutely hate it. The teachers arnt that bad but the admin is a whole other level, they don't have there stuff together and it seems like nobody really knows what there doing or how there running things. The only reason i'm still here is because i have nowhere else i can go, every student i've asked has said they hate this school too.

Terrible communication from administration to families. This school is also not the place for kids who have tested as advanced. The PTO puts a lot of effort into building relationships with families, but the administration clearly does not value us. Middle school front office staff has been downright hateful every time Ive seen them in person. When theyre not being openly rude, theyre speaking to you with candy-coated disgust. Test scores are not even proficient as of 2023, so we just cant see the good here anymore.

Absolutely love the school! Fantastic teachers, the leadership is great, the communication on every front is pretty incredible (everything from weekly newsletters to emails if there is a fire drill - and reiterating the school values). So glad we found this school!

We have been at ALA Coastal for 3 years! We feel, while there are many positives, there are a couple of areas of concern of which patents should be aware! Their strength is definitely NOT transparency nor accessibility! They do not, in our experience, excel in helping children with learning disabilities!
