Teachers who can't teach or won't teach. Teachers who allow disruptive students to continuously interrupt education. Teachers who walk out of their classrooms in the middle of the day. Teachers who don't care. You have kids who can't read above a 3rd grade level in AP and Honors courses while the actually intelligent kids are forced to remain in classrooms with disruptive students.

I graduated from Union High School in 2013. Currently a Biology major at UNCW. If I could go back in time I would have chosen to graduate from virtually any other High School. I honestly do not want my name affiliated with this place! I have friends and family still in this school and it has only gotten worse.

Almost all of the teachers are terrible. The administrators and teachers will do just about ANYTHING to make students drop out, or strip them of any and all accomplishments and achievements right up until graduation day! They are petty and do not care about the students success unless it is a teachers kid, or the parents have a lot of money.

If you can at all, in any way, send yourself or your child to another school my suggestion is to do that. There are a few really good teachers at this school that do care, but unfortunately the bad ones dominate.

It's an amazing school! Sadly it gets look down on simply because we aren't a city school but it's truely a great school. Every teacher there cares so much about their students and they show it. The students there are great. They are outgoing and so humble. I would recommend it to anyone !!!
