I would rate my experience with school's admins, child teacher, bullying, and bus transportation very sub par.

More time is spent on fundraising than academics at least since the 2019 school year open. They are encouraging students to be hustlers. The competition is fierce with students crying when they don't measure up. They are constantly sending notes home for one thing or another that cost money.

Students seem to be handling situations on their own. No strong supervision, other than having students to be quiet. This is not all teachers, just the ones I have encountered.

Cannot get admin or teachers to respond to contacts made. The main principal has not been available nor return messages left for her. The asst principal passes the buck. Maybe its time for new leadership since the current principal has been there for 24 years.

I have contacted my child's teacher several times to find out what strategies she uses to teach math concepts and reading strategies. She has yet to respond. She sent my note back to me without a response-written, verbal, nor electronic.

My child is constantly beat up, dirt kicked on him, punched in the face and stomach, kicked in the head, and pushed down on the playground. The nurse patched up his wound and said the boys were playing and he got injured. My child said it was not an accident. They were running and the boy shoved him. Another boy said he would be his bodyguard; but yet he is the one who punched him in the face and stomach. He comes home crying again from the bus stop. Again, I called the school and spoke with the AP who said he would take care of it. His "taking care of it" was to move my child to another seat. You can hear the bus driver yelling and screaming at the students on the bus from more than a half block from my house. He once had to pull the bus over to the curb to try to get control of the kids on his bus.

As stated earlier, wherever my children are involved I am very particular and so far I have not had any concern about anything they are being taught...SO FAR!

I have not had a problem with any of the staff members where my children are concerned. I have had other issues that are adult issues and not for children to be involved in.
