Horrible. Our child was bullied at age 15. The facts were all there. The administration put their heads in the sand and we got stuck twisting on our own to deal with it. We had a 40 year relationship of supporting the place through donations and sending family there. After what happened to us 8 years ago and I’m still disgusted I wouldn’t trust these people to watch a dog I cared about.

This school takes money and trades it for fancy buildings. Then they pretend to care. And from experience it iqs all show.

Latin is a good school academically. However, the culture is not the most ideal environment. The majority of kids have a sense of entitlement amongst others that are not like them and there is little tolerance for differences. There is quite a bit of bullying that goes on whether it be through exclusion, racism, and rumors that go around about the students. The school needs to work on dealing with these issues with the kids and that these type of behaviors are unacceptable at Latin.. When there is bullying occurring, the student is sent to talk with the guidance counselor as if the student is doing something that is causing the kids to bully them. Latin needs to confront the bully’s and enforce consequences so the kids know the standards of behavior that is expected of them.

As a Grandparent of Students at Charlotte Latin, I cannot say enough good things about Charlotte Latin. The school runs so smoothly, the teachers are skilled, friendly, caring and devoted. The environment is nurturing and caring for each child. The size is large enough to allow plenty of interaction (about 4 classes each grade?). The school is very current in its use of technology. The facilities are amazing. I was inspired to write this review after the Middle School had its 2014 December Holiday Musical Performance, which I could not have enjoyed more if it had been a professional performance at Carnegie. Kudos to the devoted, skilled teachers and staff, and the students who were focused and on point. I was amazed at the inclusion of so many students in such an outstanding performance. These quality performances surely prepare the children for their life performance.
