THIS is a perfect example of a Christian school. Calvary is a family of great students and great teachers. I love it there, and I would never want to go anywhere else. Every teacher is caring and Christ-like. It is truly a privilege to go to Calvary. I know numerous students who went to different schools in the area who attend Calvary now, and the all say that they would never go back. I highly recommend this fine Christian school. The facilities are beautifully modern, with stained glass in many places. You will have to see for yourself.

Hello! I have had kids attend Calvary Christian School as well as other Christian schools in the area so I figured I would leave a review. My kids and I love Calvary. We love the small class sizes (allowing time for extra help if needed, time to complete homework, and closer friendships, to name a few), the loving and caring staff that treat the students with respect and really look out for each individual student's best interest, the encouraged independence and individualism of the students, the Christ-centered curriculum, the ever-increasing opportunities for students, and how easy it is to communicate with staff. The teachers provide any resources they can to help the students succeed and they are very willing to work with any special needs. We feel like Calvary cares about us on the individual level as well as the family level. They always start scheduled events on time. Because it is a small school, the pick-up and drop-off procedures are AMAZING (if you've been in these lines in larger schools then you know what a headache it can be). Calvary doesn't bombard you with unnecessary emails and messages. They are very easy to work with and not only that but they are actually a pleasure to work with. When we visited, we could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when we walked in the doors. It was refreshing to be reminded that there are still good people in the world who truly care about others. I haven't been disappointed in the 4 years my kids have been attending.

This school is amazing! It is Christ centered. You don’t need to be Baptist but you do need to have love in your heart. The kids here have a special bond. Is it right for every family…. No. But those that are blessed enough to see the value will see their children thrive! Small class sizes where teachers mold the whole individual student with Christ at the center. With dual enrollment high school students can take college classes while enrolled here. The music department is amazing. What could be better than watching your kid shine their light for the Lord. This school has changed my families life. So many new things happening from sports to fine arts. Don’t let too many people know about this hidden Gem!

Fantastic experience with this school. Class sizes are amazing and the teachers are very caring. I like the community feel.
My child is elementary and we have been attending 2 years.
The focus is definitely Christ centered.

I sent my children to Calvary back in 2001-2004 and Calvary was a great 5 star school. My granddaughter came along and I wanted to send her there. She started kindergarten and she had a pretty awesome year, wonderful teacher: I thought everyone was caring and nurturing overall. My granddaughter went for her second year at Calvary and it was a nightmare. Teacher acted like she could care less about my granddaughter. 11 children in a class room and paying over 5k and she refused to work or even care about her learning. All Calvary did was tore her self esteem down so bad. Two little girls also bullied my granddaughter and that was mentioned to the teacher several times and nothing was done. It has been a heartbreaking year and my daughter decided that the best thing to do was to pull her out. The negative atmosphere was taking a toll on her mental health. When the withdrawal was done, the administration failed to ask us any questions to why we were pulling her out and obviously they could have cared less. No call from the teacher or anyone!! It was very sad and heartbreaking situation!

The bullying is out of control and nothing is done. There is a lot of talk from admin but no action. I would not recommend this school.

As much as they micromanage the students as school is significantly small, the bullying still occurs and unfortunately the bully’s are the students that been enrolled for years so the risk of expelling then and loosing that tuition $ is a risk the school administrators aren’t willing to take.

Beyond unpleasant. Will only rate it 1 star to be able to leave a rating.

2 teachers in the upper school grades are actually teachers that teach well and have proper approach to children who struggle academically

Not at all! Teachers won’t approach different teaching methods not provide additional material for children to work at at home.

This was our first year 2014-2015 , at Calvary and we are so sorry we didn't come here from the beginning. Our daughter started her 6th grade here and has absolutely loved it all year. We previously had problems with not liking or wanting to go school from kindergarten to 5th grade at her previous school. The teachers and staff here are so loving, caring and God fearing women and men of the Lord. She has really done a 360* turn and is so outgoing and happy now. Our son loves his preschool teachers so much. They both want to go back on Wednesday nights for the Awana Club program for the youth. My husband and I cannot thank Calvary enough for loving and teaching our children......

We have been with this school for five years and we absolutly love the teachers and all the staff here. Although the school did not have enough students to continue there middle school program. We as parents are working with the staff to get the middle school back next year. The staffs faith is still as strong as ever and they are using it in there teachings. I highly recommend Calvery for any age child.
