The experience I had with WPA this past school year was great, my daughter absolutely loved going to school everyday. An her teacher and staff at the school always made my daughter and myself feel very welcomed and eager to help with anything I had concerns about or just wanted to know. I look forward to the next school year!!!

I am beyond grateful and happy that my children attended this school. From the very beginning, we were welcomed with open arms and made to feel like part of a family. The staff truly care about each student, not just academically but emotionally as well. My kids felt safe, supported, and encouraged every single day.
A special thank you to Mrs. Klutz, their kindergarten teacher, who made their very first school experience so positive and nurturing. She showed so much love, patience, and dedication, and helped build a strong foundation for their learning journey. My kids and I absolutely adored her!
And to Mr. Johnson, the principal—thank you for creating such a supportive and welcoming environment for all families. Your leadership and presence have made such a difference, and it shows in every part of the school.
And a big thank you to Mrs. Porter, who greeted the kids every morning with a warm smile and kind words. That simple gesture made them feel happy, safe, and excited to start their day.
It has been a blessing to watch my children grow, learn, and thrive in a place where they felt safe, seen, and valued. We will always be thankful for everything this school has done for us, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

This is a great school. My kid has been going there since kindergarten and is now moving in to the 8th grade. They have teachers that really care about the kids and work hard all year to tutor them even outside of school hours! Mr. J is an excellent principal and the staff is really nice and supportive. They have a wonderful art teacher, an amazing music teacher and offer clubs such as cooking, cheerleading, basketball, an outreach program for the community, and more. I like the fact that the classes are small and my kid gets the attention he needs! I do recommend this school for anyone who cares about where their kid goes to get a good education and likes being involved. The teachers are always welcoming and encourage any parent, guardian or grandparent that wish to visit, observe or volunteer. I have no regrets!

Four of my children attend this school and I am very pleased with the teachers and staff! The principal is caring and strives to make sure each student is provided a safe, engaging, and rigorous learning environment. They have small classes that ensure my kids are getting more attention than they may receive in a traditional school. I would recommend Wilmington Preparatory Academy to anyone!

Bad school. Bad staff especially the principal. Feel for the kids took my child out. They were mean to my child and others. Told one little girls mom that she could not come back cause she wet her pants cause she had to wait so long to use the toilet.

Worse school ever, no public school in the nation is as terrible as WPA, if the school system can't handle a bad kid, this kid will end at WPA. Parents never show up for anything, Principal doesn't care, teachers handle kids as booth camp because they have too, if you have a good kid this is not a good place. Honestly this place is like jail because the population and management and that's the honest true.

Fantastic school!! My Granddaughter loves to get up every morning and go she doesn't want to miss anything. Mrs Sanchez is a great teacher, she spends time with each of her students and the class size is perfect!!

This is a great school. They have come a long way over the years and continue to progress.

This school has a great staff. Many students who were failing or bullied thrive at WPA. Small class sizes and dedicated teachers make a huge difference!

Wilmington Prep is a great school! The tuition is free and they really care about the students!! The curriculum is great and students are learning how to play violin from a great violinist!

I am a teacher at WPA, and this has been a successful school year. I am amazed by the quality of the reading program that this school has implemented and the Core Knowledge Program. The Core Knowledge Program provides engaging and aunthentic learning experiences for elementary students. These students finish the school year having absorbed knowledge that is typically learned in high school.

WPA has caring staff that are highly qualified, many have master degrees. The student teacher ratio is excellent, the core knowledge curriculum paired with direct instruction and inquiry learning is giving the students a well rounded education. We offer Spanish, chorus, violin classes as well as PE and Computer lab. I am able to take my students on field trips frequently to expand their horizons and reinforce my lessons. The academics are rigorous but the students are motivated and excited about learning which makes me a better teacher.

I teach at Wilmington Prep. We have a dedicated staff who is committed to the success of each of their students'. We have a small teacher to student ratio, therefore we are able to cover a lot of subject matter each day. We also offer Spanish to all grade levels, along with violin, music, and soccer. We encourage learning thru hands on experiences by offering various field trips and community projects. This school offers students a well rounded education absolutely tuition free.

This school is brand new and With a lot of changes and moves made to help this school excel the teachers have remained in love and helping with each child individually. THere is nothing the school isn't willing to do to help the child succeed in the classroom and in life.

I love the smaller class size. I think the teachers are nice the Pricipal seems unable to do her part. It's a wonderful school if you want your kids to do more in a shorter period of time.

My child is goes to Wilmington Prep this year and has made really good progress. I can hardly wait until next year when they will be adding Spanish. I wish more parents would volunteer! This is the first year with year-round scedule and I think it has been very good.

School adminstration and leadership is a distaster. Lack of discpline policy, consistancy, and teacher support creates a poor atmosphere for as well as low moral. Teacher turnover is the only thing consistant. There are plenty of great schools in Wilmington, but this is truely not one of them
