My honor student was dual enrolled and was given an out of date book (over a decade behind in editions) with which to take psychology online. Her first and oy F. The school is very aware of it and will not expunge the grade. Now that she is retaking (with the correct book), she is doing well. They took away her right to learn with proper materials, as well as her right to amend the grade. They also made up falsehoods (like skipping class-which anyone knows is not possible for an online course) and claiming she'd have failed anyway. Obviously not with the current book. I took my younger daughter out immediately. If I could do over, she'd have gone to another school in the area, public, with better than 3.5 rating.

I would rate my experience at North East Carolina Prep School very high. I have had a great experience in elementary, middle, and high school here. The staff have been a lot more strict but easy to get along with if you follow the rules. And majority of the students (especially in the HS) are pretty chill and easy to get along with as well. So overall, no school is perfect, but NECP is a great school.

Besides normal classes NECP has multiple after school clubs such as Junior Beta, Senior Beta, and FFA that all develop strong character.

The leader ship at this school is beyond abysmal. They have new management every few years they cant keep a principal . They have no Idea how to cater so student's disabilities and they punish students for their disabilities instead of helping them get through it. They often lie about what classes are available just to force your child to take honors classes to make their school look better.

Homework has lately been very effective at NECP. They are now using several online websites to help students with homework. ex: News ela, Khan academy, Prodigy, College Board, ....

They have about two hours of homework each night.

They have kept some who need to be gone because of there outburst to students every day. They let go teachers who the focus was on the students. It's retired teachers there now.

The Highschool principle is horrible to parents and students. He has a terrible attitude. He seems very inexperienced. He likes to say he can do whatever he wants.
