I was a past student from this school and i have suffered from severe depression and other mental health issues. Instead of helping me get better they made it worse by not taking anything serious, when having panic attacks, they called me dramatic and rolled their eyes at me. The teachers that I had were at least nice. I had to transfer to another school due to my mental health and I 'am 10 times better, I've been in touch with a friend who still attends this school and they said that kids still smoke/vape in bathrooms, that I have also seen when I attended. when I used to attend, fights would happen almost every week and staff don't do much to stop or prevent it from happening. There are also kids who do sexual things. I would never recommend this school.

Im not one to write negative reviews, but parents need to know whats actually going on here. The school looks great from the outside, but once your kid is through those doors, they are completely on their own, and I have never made my daughter transfer to another school so fast but my main big issue about this school is the lack of oversight in the hallways. My daughter has told me multiple times that kids are just vaping in the bathrooms and the teachers just seem to look the other way because theyre "overwhelmed." I get that they're understaffed, but I shouldn't feel worried about my 12-year-old going to the bathroom.
Its not just vaping, either. There are kids dealing edibles and "pills" right in the locker rooms between gym and lunch. My daughter was offered "gummies" twice in one week. When we reported it, the school basically asked us for proof instead of doing their own investigation. Its like they dont care about the actual safety of the students genuinely disappointed.
Were officially on the waitlist for the L&C middle school in Omaha. If you care about your childs health and safety, do not send them here. Its just not worth the stress.

Awful school, bullying, violence and drug use. Avoid at all cost. The school sticks up for the bullies and punishes the kids who are defending themselves.

Norris is home school area to a economically disadvantaged area. However, that being said, the faculty over the last few years has worked hard at changing the opinion of this school Teachers and Administration pitch in and help and do whats best for the kids. It is a welcoming school that under the administration of Dr. Carr has grown by leaps and bounds. If you have a student at any level of academics there is help out there, if you dont know how to help your own student, ask..they are there to help!

Alot of funding and remodeling went into this school.. Too bad having all thia doesnt equal a good school. Its the students who are here that are allowed to act the way they do. Absolutely horrible

In fact its the complete opposite. Students can and do bully often and where are the teachers when all of this happens.?

All 3 of my children have had racial comments thrown at them and threatened by other students. Even attacked. Why and how is there so much unsupervised time for kids.

It's been a few years since I've been here, but I definitely remember what it was like. The school itself wasn't in the best condition. The students aren't so great and motivated. But if I hadn't attended, I wouldn't have met some of the great friends I have today. Don't get me wrong, there is no blame to be put towards the staff. Some of the teachers prepared me more than enough for high school. And for that, I am forever grateful.
