I absolutely love this school for my kids. We are holding off moving because we didn't want to change schools.

I would definitely send my child to Pawnee if I had to do it all over again.

My daughter attended Pawnee from Kindergarten through sixth grade and I was happy that all of her teachers felt that it was more important for the kids to spend time with family and just being a kid when at home. She didnt have a lot of homework because the students were given enough time to complete their work during school hours.

The entire time my daughter was at Pawnee I felt the teachers all cared about making sure each student was understanding the subjects they were working on. In particular, Mrs. Bystrom was absolutely fantastic! She was my daughters teacher for both 5th and 6th grade. She truly cares for her students and took the time to send me texts or call me with pics of things the students were doing or just to let me know my daughter had done something great. She would also contact me with concerns before they ever had a chance to get out of hand.

Im sure the leadership is great. I would have liked to see more field trips for the students throughout the years though. It seems that they dont get to see very many things like we did when we were younger. It was unfortunate when some of the field trips were canceled due to bad weather and never rescheduled. I feel a good leader would ensure that the children still get the chance to go.

From what my daughter has told me, bullying doesnt happen a lot at Pawnee. If it does, the staff handles it quickly.

They work hard to prevent bullying. The district doesn't tolerate bullying and now has a hotline to better address harassment concerns.

Just wanted to thank Kathy Shepoka for informing me about the June library month. I took my grandchildren and they thoroughly enjoyed being able to pick out a new book to take home. The craft tables were added fun, and the staff were so patient and helpful. What a wonderful program! The grandkids loved it and so did I. Susan Bruning.

My daughter is in the 4th grade and my son will be starting Kindergarten here next year. I have had positive experiences with this school. It is a very mixed community. My daughter has made many friends and Loves her teachers and the extracirricular teachers. She knows all of them by name and they are very freindly. The only problem I have with the school is the parking and picking my kids up. It is VERY hectic and VERY frustrating for me! Otherwise it is a good school and will continue to send my kids there.
