I was a recent parent of the school. I just pulled my children out because of the continuous experience that I've had and they've been there less than a year. They started at the beginning of the school year and I took them out before the school year has ended. From the very beginning. My daughter had an unfortunate encounter with her teacher and she felt uncomfortable and did not even want to attend school. Talk to the principal and we thought that we were on a better path. We have teachers who are crossing guards overstepping their bounds off of school property when it comes to children walking home with their parents. Who then tell me as a parent that if I have a problem with what they're saying to go take it to the principal that was the first encounter. The second encounter was today as I informed her that this is their last day and instead of it just being that it was their last day she then wanted to tell me well. I you know they should cross over here because it's for the safety of the children, my children are my children when they're off of school property. I'm in charge of them. I made sure they got across the street safely, hence why you're able to have a conversation with me on the other side of the road. Nonetheless, the other children were on the other side and already gone for the most part. It's just teachers overstepping their bounds.

I have no issues about the actual teachers in the classroom, but that's a very other story when it comes to the principal and guidance counselor! They will undermine your child's self-esteem and personality, target them, and make them feel unaccepted, therefore don't trust them with your child. When they return with a doctor's note, they will corner them and accuse them of pretending to be sick. Despite the fact that many other kids use nicknames, they won't accept their name change. Just because my child does conform to the stereotype of a typical child. My child was left hungry after returning home complaining about blue chicken nuggets that the staff REFUSED to replace. They often complained about soggy or overly burnt food as well. Additionally, the art teacher is the most impolite person. I think it's crazy that kids aren't allowed to talk at all during art. Also if you cant work with children perhaps pick a different job. Additionally, she treats the older kids like they don't know what they're doing, and if they speak up, they get in trouble and have to relearn basic skills like shading. I would have told everyone about this school a few years ago, prior to the current principal's transition. However, I would now advise everyone to take their kids to a better, safer, toxic-free environment where they may eat food free of mold and study properly without being judged or cornered. And where there isn't paint on the ground where we tell children they can't walk. And a wildly uneducated principal doesn't try mixing up things like a pick up and drop off line causing huge traffic jams, longer waits, and more confusion just to try to show a sense of power and in the end have to switch everything back. Futher adding to the instability you already gave to the children. Good luck to anyone left inside the doors of this school. As we leave this place behind after many years inside the doors.

They gave me blue chicken nuggets, burnt pizza, and soggy food.My teacher would stare at the girls legs, and I also got told I was showing too much skin. Stop looking. Also to mention, the art teacher is rude. She always tells people to be quiet even though their barely speaking. Don't recommend your kid going here.

My children have been attending Goldenhills for a total of 12 years. The staff has always been welcoming and helpful. Education is above and beyond and the communication to the parents is wonderful.

I love the school. My son has been going for 2 years and my daughter is starting this year. If you are doing your job as a parent you will love the school. I Awesome special need program.

My son goes to this school, currently i'm a single parent, i think this school ask to much from parents, they are always asking us to bring stuff in for events; and the teacher is always clomplaning that i need to study more with my son and that he needs to be constantly watched because he is to rowdy . if it wasn't because this school is close to my mother's hose i would take him to diferent one

Unfortunately my experience with this school was not good, it felt like my child was being discriminated by the teacher, when another student bullied my child the teacher would do nothing, and i would always get called for any lil mistake my child made. The principal did not appear to have any authority in her school , since she told me i had to resolve the issues that my child had with the other student my self. I'm sorry my family is not WHITE!

Golden Hills is an amazing school! The teachers are engaged and full of energy. The class sizes are small, and the school has a family feel. My kids love going to school here.
