Pulling my kid out at the end of the year. The staff is incredibly rude and often times portray kids as a burden to teach. They're incredibly hard to get in touch with and seem to dismiss any parent input.

We pulled our child out of Tara Heights and it was by far the best decision we could've made! It was a huge decision and one we didn't take lightly, but after seeing the immediate changes and improvements we knew it's what needed to be done. I think our first red flag should've been the teacher whose primary focus is pokemon cards as opposed to the students.

Terrible. If other parents are reading this and considering the Papillion La Vista school district, especially if you have children with special needs, I would highly recommend choosing a different district! If my spouse and I would've known before what we know now, we NEVER would've enrolled our kiddos in this district.

It's not balanced or consistent whatsoever. Some teachers give homework every night while others never do.

When there are issues happening with a student but the parent doesn't find out about this until conference time or until asking the teacher several times I don't consider this effective.

The principal at this school has a lot to learn about being a leader. He's very standoff-ish with the parents and children. He rarely has a smile on his face and doesn't appear comfortable speaking in front of large groups. When he's in meetings with parents he's completely silent and never offers any feedback.

IEPs are not being followed and there's nothing being done about it at any level. They're short staffed at the special education level and turnover is an issue as well. Emails to the special education teachers asking for feedback or follow up go unanswered.

A high achieving neighborhood elementary with excellent test scores, side selection of extra curricular activities, and a devoted group of teachers.

Just the right amount of homework, and the school really pushes self-guided reading.

Friendly, approachable, and passionate: the teaching staff is devoted to students and works hard to keep test scores ahead of state averages.

Amazing teachers connect with all students really well and they have great reviews about their 7th grade students. They prepare children really well for the upcoming years and have fun while doing it. I went here and miss it every day. Loved my teachers. I recommend this school 100%
