We are so lucky and greatful that our kids get to attend this school. The principal is out of this world, he knows every students name almost instantly and is so friendly and approachable and interacts with the students daily. Most of the teachers we've had also go above and beyond to make sure students are learning and thriving and getting any additional learning resources they need. The guidance couselor is so informative, she has lessons with each class several times a year and also has support groups for the kids and imformative meetings for parents. I can't say enough good things about this school.

The principal is incredibly personable and goes out of his way to make every child feel important and noticed throughout the day. The teachers are incredible and go above and beyond to teach their lessons while also helping the children grow intellectually.

We love this school for its teachers, leaders and proactive policies that instill good values in the kids. The principal is so friendly and shows every kid that theyre important. The child study team is great to work with and make sure kids get the extra help they need. I feel like everyone at the school goes the extra mile and the kids get a great learning experience.

Milton H. Allen School is the best school with the best teachers ever. The principal knows every child and parents name. The teachers are caring and supportive. The guidance counselor offers group opportunities to help children become strong, independent caring individuals. The school district is very good for special needs children as well. I disagree with the review below. There is programming available for different needs, including out of district placement. We moved here 5 years ago and so thankful to be in Medford.

My kids and I love Milton H. Allen School in Medford. The teachers, principal, staff and other parents are like extended family. The principal is so warm and friendly, enthusiastically greeting every student and parent by name, and is always approachable, accessible and immediately responsive. The quality of Allen teachers is reflected not only in our school's high test scores, but, more important, in how Allen kids are happy and excited about school each day, and how they treat others with kindness and respect. Allen School is exactly what I had wanted for my children when I moved to this town. :)

If you have a child with certain special needs, I would highly recommend that you not move to Medford unless private school is an option. We endured ongoing bias and prejudice and harassment that filtered down from the principal, whom I would describe as a bully. If this school is rated high in certain areas, it is because they marginalize/exclude children they see as undesirable and/or who require too much effort, in my opinion. Excruciating experience.
