I worked there in a temporary position. The principal used me to do his job during standardized testing. When he had a permanent position open, he didn't even bother to interview me.

Good academically but they do discriminate. Principle mr profico is a uncaring person if you don't meet his personal standards. I've personally got harrassed from this school. I've heard multiple similar stories. I've went to the board. I hear larchmont school is great

My child has attended Fleetwood since Kindergarten and it's a great school. She has enjoyed her years here and it will be sad to see it end. The teachers have been outstanding and she has learned so much. I don't understand why it's a 7/10! The school deserves higher. I would recommend this school to new families of Mount Laurel.

We transferred here mid school year from a much lower rated school and were welcomed with open arms. Every teacher is kind and caring and excellent at their job. The office staff, school nurse, principal, counselor, bus drivers, aides, and janitor are all friendly and helpful. The PTO is very active within this school and parents are encouraged to join and help if they can. My daughter instantly made friends and felt like part of the community. The standard of learning is well above average. Activities offered for kids are extensive, from recess runners, to music programs, theatre club, yoga club, it goes on and on. The school grounds are clean, well maintained and safe. I really could go on forever about the high quality of this school and honestly feel it deserves higher than a 7!

The school seems to be trying its best to make its mark. Overall the environment is comfortable for kids & parents. The teachers seem too occupied so sometime it gets hard to reach them. I have experience with other nearby school districts where it was much easier to talk to he teachers. In his last school, I used to meet my son's teacher both at drop off and pick up and that small communication with her made me feel at peace. Here u hardly get to see the teachers unless it's back to school night or parents are called for some event. My biggest issue with the school is that the kids are not getting enough opportunity to eat . There is only lunch time. No morning or afternoon snack. Most school around in same district or nearby districts give enough breaks to kids for eating .....and yet performing better than fleetwood in terms of grades. But overall my son seems happy here, except that he starts feels hunger an hour before the lunchtime. There is a good demographic mix of kids. Over all a good community.

My son attends Fleetwood and he loves it, but I'm not terribly impressed with the school. There don't seem to be a whole lot of extracurricular activities and the few good ones they have are absurdly priced. I agree with what the one mother said about the school assuming everyone is a SAHM and looking down on you if you aren't, but I think that's Mount Laurel as a whole. My son's teacher is great, but I feel that because he is quiet, he is often overlooked. He has consistently had trouble with revision (we work on it at home a lot), but his teacher still gives him a B each marking period. My son should not be handed a B even though he probably earned a C that first marking period (I suspect because he tests well). I feel that time is not taken in class to address his issues with completing his writing assignments. His teacher communicates when I email her, but I hear about problems after the fact. Often she makes it sound like everything is going well, but then I later find out that he has once again not been able to finish an assignment in class. The fact is that the class sizes are entirely too large and children like my son are not given extra help when they need it.

What I like about Fleetwood is the technology used in the classrooms, the civic mindedness culture and how they get the kids to care about the less fortunate etc, the principals involvement and movement throughout the building, and how active and involved the PTO is. What I dont like about Fleetwood is the lack of understanding when dealing with the needs of atypical children (in inclusion classes w/teachers who dont have the slightest iota what to do with them) and making the necessary accomodations; the front office staff; the lack of empathy from the CST; and the assumption that everyone is a SAHM; as if working moms are a novel idea or less capable parents.

Fleetwood School is a warm, caring environment. The teachers love their jobs, their co-workers, and the children. The classroom teachers manage to work with all abilities effectively and the specials teachers are creative and wonderful! Fleetwood is a community centered school where families are welcomed to the classrooms. Many parents are involved and the PTO does amazing things!!!!
