Almost all of the lunches look disgusting and not edible
Needs to get rid of the yondr pouch for the people that did not do anything wrong.

Horrible school in my opinion, too many fights and way to much drama that interferes with a persons mental health and ability to learn and have good grades. I blame the staff they should do a better job in disciplining students and adding more rules to protect the students in the school.

Our Son graduated top of His Class at Pemberton Twp High School. He graduated one year early and went on to Rowan University and Finished with a Masters Degree in Science at the age of 20. He currently works for Lockheed Martin. If it wasn't for the Education that He received at Pemberton Township High School he wouldn't be where He is today. He study in the STEM program that prepared HIm for His future. We can not say enough good about our experience with PTHS.

This school has a few staff members that genuinely care about their students and giving a quality education however, it's in dire need of new leadership as things have been too bad for too long. If you ask any decent student or staff member they'll tell you just how exhausting it is to be getting the short end of the stick from the administration AND by rowdy, unmotivated students. It would usually be fine if you got into AP however, in recent years they'll throw anyone in there so now it's just as bad as being in a standard class, with all the constant disruptions and outbursts. I really tried to make the most out of my time here, truly I did but now that graduation is on the horizon all I can say is that I'm happy to just leave. This being said to any potential parents reading this, if you can do better DO IT it's worth it, and to any other students, all I can say is stick in there.

There's a general disregard for anything concerning the "integrity" often spouted about. Students who actually need help usually can't get it because the trouble students are left to run amok and end up taking time away from the people who really need it, and speaking of trouble students, the principles are a joke, they actively avoid any real disciplinary actions to these kids, which it ridiculous given that fights and drugs aren't a rare occurrence to be found here. So in reality there's just an endless loop of no one accomplishing anything until graduation and everyone's screwed.

The Cross Country program is a joke..the students lacked the discipline to follow the coach's direction, while training and during meets, plus they still got to participate in the events.

Pemberton High School has been my second home since 1979. Speaking specifically about my area, Choral Music, .I am proud to say that our Choral music program is on par if not superior to a great many school districts in the state. Our students perform a wide variety of quality repertoire, participate in curricular and extra curricular select vocal ensembles, as well as regional and All State Chorus. They are taught music literacy , musicianship, vocal technique and critical thinking skills, to name a few...a wide variety of teaching techniques are used . Not only does our district offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities for our students to choose from but they provide late afternoon transportation home twice each day for clubs first and then sports. I have had more students than I can count receive advanced degrees.Our school climate is diverse. The bulk of the reviews here are written by people that did not send their children to our school. Our faculty members and staff are dedicated, long term professionals who work tirelessly to educate their students. This is a school that is under appreciated and has so much to offer.

When we first moved to Browns Mills in 2006, we heard that PTHS was a school. By the time my eldest son got to 9th grade, I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!! We attended the freshman orientation and learned about all the efforts to turn the school around from its bad reputation. The school has so many opportunities for children to learn and succeed! Unfortunately, after my son's freshman year, the military moved us to Little Rock AFB, AR. Let me tell you... there isn't a day that goes by that I painfully regret asking for a transfer! The schools down here make my son look like a genius! My son was in all honors and the A-STEM (Aeronautics - Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) program and finished his only year at PTHS as #1 in his class with a 5.44 GPA. PTHS is a phenomenal school and we are seriously considering having my wife bring the kids back to NJ for school while I finish my last few years in the Air Force in Arkansas.

My school is a diamond in the rough. The schools gets a bad reputation, but PTHS offers everything you need to prepare for college or a career.

Graduated from Pemberton and I did well in collage both undergraduate and graduate. Yes that is right I have my Masters degree in education and I graduated from Pemberton. Your education is what you make of it! Go hornets!!!

I had three kids graduate from this school. They loved this school and visit old teachers when they have a chance since their sister attends the school now. I am a teacher in another district and I can tell you that this school is much better than most I have seen throughout the state. Improvement is needed in regards to guidance of the students to post secondary education. I would also like to see improvement when it comes to indoor graduation exercises.

How is it possible a school could fall so far? This school is now known as the place you go to if you screw up everywhere else because they take anybody and kick out nobody. I am a Pemberton grad and I really wanted my children to follow in my footsteps but at the same time I have to do what's best for my children. My advice to all parents is if you know someone that lives in the Northern Burlington district ask them if you can use their address. It's as easy as that. I really have no idea how Pemberton is still open. I live in Browns mills and everyone that lives in my area attends NB. Put it this way when the military openly speaks bad about this school in their base paper and online you know this school is in bad shape. I do advise those that are from Browns mills that decide to pull their children from or not attend PTHS for NB do know that the community is starting to create a somewhat resistance because of the overcrowding. Now also know NB is a choice school, so even if you already attend PTHS you can still transfer. The process is not that hard. My son plays on the baseball team and all but 3 of his teammates are from Browns Mills and they all utilized choice.

Awful school, god-awful area. You can t help but feel sorry for the teachers that work here. My daughter came home complaining that she is unable to hear the teacher teach because the other students in class are loud, disruptive and basically act like complete animals. I contacted the teacher and the response she gave me was I do apologize but all I can do is write the students up but past that there is nothing we can do You have got to be kidding me! So basically I was told the students can do whatever they want and there are no consequences? Yep that's what their showing the students and telling the parents. Who and how are they running this mad house. Out of all the bases I ve been to this has to the most ridiculous anything thing goes schools I have dealt with. I am proud to say I am now in the process of sending my child to Northern. Do yourself a favor instead of sending your child here, just send them to you local zoo. At least at a zoo they ll learn something. Although if you are into the gang scene, pregnant teenagers and fist fights you ll love this place.

PLEASE READ!!! We are now stationed at Dover AFB and let me be the first to tell you. Military does not send there kids to this school anymore they send them to Northern. Heck those that are not military that live in the district that have a fully functional brain don't send their kids to this school. My daughter said all she did in class was listen to music on her IPhone and as long as she was quiet they gave her an A. The only kids that go to this school are those that just got out of jail or got kicked out of everywhere else.

I was an okay student (3.0 gpa) but was always well mannered and shy. However, I was pushed and ran into in the halls every year. I was harassed and tormented by certain students asking for money. I was so alone and felt unsafe. Teachers witnessed students run through the halls and swearing but never said a word. These students were untouchable. I am almost 30 now and have 2 bachelors degrees and several professional licenses - no thanks to my education or experiences from PTHS!

Pemberton Twp. High School offers a multicultural and diverse learning environment. Students can participate in any sport you can think of and the high school keeps students involved with extra curricular activities and clubs. PTHS has dedicated teachers who help students achieve both academic and social success. There are honor courses and AP courses offered as well as up to date technological devices used within the classrooms. Transportation is provided for all after school activities and sports and we do not pay to play sports in our township. I am a graduate of PTHS and my daughters have graduated recently with much success.

Okay let's be serious for a moment. Why would anyone want their child going to this school when Northern Burlington is right around the corner. We moved to Ft Dix a year ago and the first this we were told was "it would be wise to not send your kids to PTHS." This was told to me by many high ranking military members and military spouses. Even though I was thankful for the advice I still rather of seen for myself. I visited both schools and I couldn't find one thing that PTHS was better then NB at. I did find it very odd that at PTHS that the kids seemed to never be in the classrooms. There were many occourances where I saw students running down the hallways yelling and screaming while class was in session and the main response I got from the faculty was "Oh that just one of the Special Ed kids. I have 3 teenagers and all of them have played for Sumter HS in SC. They had some of the best sports teams in the state and one of the best football teams in the country. We went to watch 1 PTHS football game and my sons and husband all agreed that their was no way that they were going to play on that team. They now play for NB and they couldn't be more happier but we do find it weird that half the team is from Brownsmills and most of these kids are not affiliated with the military in any way. The one good thing that PTHS did have over NB was that the class sizes were not as big. NB is becoming more and more overcrowded by the day. Now like I said my kids go to NB so I can't pass full judgement on this school but you have to think that there is something to why the military tells its members to go to NB over PTHS, the sports teams and clubs are filled with students that are from the Pemberton district but have no military affiliation and why the teachers and staff at NB tell the students that if you get kicked out your going to PTHS.

When we moved to McGuire we were told we had a choice of 2 high schools. I chose Pemberton because they were the school that had a JROTC program. After a few months I realized that what they didn t tell us was they also have a gang problem. I tried to get my child moved to the other school when I learned she was being bullied by some of these gang members. I was told the 2 schools and the base had an agreement that once a child had started in one school they could not switch to the other. She should not have to be afraid to go to school every day. What kind of education is she really receiving? There are fights of a weekly basis. I would not recommend any other military families putting their children in this school.

As a graduate of Pemberton Township High School, I get irritated when I hear people bash this school. I received an excellent education there from some very outstanding teachers. Also, the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the school ensured that I was able to relate to and work with people from all walks of life. Education is a team sport...you have to get out on the field and get involved if you want to succeed. I find that the people who do the most complaining about the school are those that sit on the sideline (or in the penalty box) and expect the education to be handed to them. Those of us who applied ourselves, got involved with clubs and sports, and took advantage of eveything this school had to offer, went on to great colleges and careers.

I am currently a junior on the Dean's List at Penn State, and I graduated PTHS in 2008. My success in getting to college and succeeding there is in no way a reflection of my education at Pemberton. To put it simply, Pemberton is a failing school. The teachers are qualified, but the administration only caters to disciplinary issues. There are no incentive programs for high-performing teachers, office staff/counseling/scheduling services are substandard, and students are not adequately prepared to succeed at a 4-year university. Violence has become a widespread problem, due to laughable security staff and unstructured free time in and out of the classroom. Extracurricular activities are mediocre at best. If I was planning on my child going to college, I would NOT send them to Pemberton.
