Catholic school does not breed loving caring students - these kids are mostly from rich families and are nothing more than lying spoiled brats who are going to this school because the parents want bragging rights - itÂ’s an old catholic school that hopefully will go away like most other

I have a deep, abiding love and appreciation for OLGC. This school provides a high quality catholic education as well as a rigorous program of academics. OLGC students score far above the national average on standardized tests and class size is limited to provide an intimate learning environment. OLGC is also more than a school, it is a family.

Absolutely Loved the Staff, Administration and Education our son experienced while at OLGC for 7 years. The smaller environment (60 boys and girls in class) gave him an opportunity to shine in Academics, Athletics, Arts as well as service programs for personal development. He is now at St. Joseph Prep and very well prepared for High School!

all have been excellent with my children; I highly recommend OLGC. Classes are right-sized to allow students group projects but still have daily one-on-one instruction of the students.

excellent moral teachings both in the school and for the church programs.

They always go above and beyond when dealing with each family. I have been highly impressed with all of my dealings with staff.

I am extremely pleased my children had the opportunity to attend OLGC for the years work took me to live in Suburban Philadelphia. If I get the opportunity to move back OLGC will be our first and only choice for our children.

When I moved here from Pennsylvania four years ago, I knew nothing about the area. After reading various reviews and taking the school tour, I felt confident about my decision to enroll my daughter but still a little anxious due to the unfamiliarity of the area in general. My daughter is in her fourth year at OLGC and my step son is in his second year and words simply escape me when I try to express how much this school has helped my children not only academically but has helped give them a sense of belonging and community. I have never once second guessed my decision to enroll my children at OLGC; it's like a second family!

I feel that the teachers have a wonderful balance of homework/importance of time spent with family. The amount of work that my children receive is appropriate for their grade and still leaves more than enough time to be spent with the family in the evenings.

I couldn't agree with this statement any more. My children are THRIVING academically.

The development of my children in these areas is of the MAIN reasons I speak so highly of OLGC. This community is more than a school to my family; they are instilling these traits into my children each and every day and I'm very grateful for that.

My children do not have learning disabilities so I cannot personally speak to the support given to those who need it but I know there are people and programs in place for those that do need some extra help.

Any issues with bullying are dealt with and handled immediately. I definitely couldn't ask for more attentive staff when it comes to this issue.

Homework is given to all students starting in 1st grade. However, the teachers have a strong sense that family time is important so they do make the amount of homework manageable. In addition, there is typically no homework over the weekend. Math homework/enrichment and reading requirements are given on a regular basis which is most important in my opinion.

OLGC is the home of many good teachers. In the past few years, teachers have been moved around throughout grades and I feel that has made them even more effective. Change is good and I think the students and teachers benefit from it. The teachers always seem to embrace upgrades to curriculum and technology and this is a great benefit for all involved.

Character is of most importance at OLGC. Every month, a student from each homeroom (PK3 through 8th grade) is selected for a Character Counts award. The theme for the month is stressed every day and those that excel in it are recognized. The students and their families love this recognition and every one is truly excited for the selected winners each month. Strong character = Succcess. I love that it is stressed starting at age 3 at OLGC.

The leadership at this school has made significant improvements to OLGC including the classrooms, the curriculum, the staff, and all initiatives. Technology improvements are continual and we have even seen the implementation of music, math enrichment, and life skill instruction which was absent under the previous leadership.

My children do not have any learning disabilities so I can't speak firsthand. However, I know there are students with them and they receive the services needed through OLGC.

Bullying is not tolerated at OLGC. If an incident occurs, it is addressed immediately and the proper discipline is implemented.

Our family loves OLGC. We have been a part of the OLGC school community for many years and will continue to be a part of it even when our youngest graduates. It has been the most amazing experience for my children and I am so thankful that we chose OLGC's faith enriched environment for our children's education.

As early as kindergarten this year my daughter''s teacher identified her accelerated abilities and ensured that she was given extra enrichment assignments.

I've had no experience with bullying of any type at OLGC to be able to rate this.

As a first time family going through OLGC this year (my daughter is just finishing up Kindergarten), I could not have asked for a better experience! Going through Catholic school my whole life, I knew I wanted my daughter to experience it as well, however was uncertain if she would be able to replicate my expereince as so many things have changed in the world since I went many years ago. My uncertainty was dismissed almost immediately, and the fact I made the right decision for my daughter was validated throughout the year with the many positive experiences we both have experienced. It was nice to see our family values reinforced in my daughter's classroom each and everyday.

The teachers enrich the children emotionally academically as well as spiritually.

These are core values of the school. Each month the school awards selected students who model these behaviors with the character counts award.

We have had a very good experience at OLGC. The strong values and catholic education was what we wanted for our children. The environment is welcoming, the teachers are extremely qualified and the administration holds our kids accountable so they can grow to be independent when they leave OLGC. This has helped so much as they head towards high school.

We were happy here for a very long time, but recent leadership changes have made the school a shell of what it once was. Very sad to see the deterioration over time and the extreme unhappiness of faculty and staff. Many families and staff members have chosen to leave this year to find better options.

My children have been attending this school for 10+ years and we love it. Everyone one is very close and parents are very involved.

We have strong ties to the school and parish and did not consider sending our children anywhere else. The academics have challenged our oldest in a good way. As practicing Catholics we also are happy that our kids are growing as Catholics and that they have exposure to our faith beyond our homelife. I would recommend OLGC. There is always room for improvement at any school and hopefully parent involvement is the key to effecting those changes.

I feel so fortunate to be able to send my children to OLGC. It is a wonderful school that is as much about love and respect as it is about reading writing, math and science. This truly is a wonderful school community where our children feel like they are at home and the teachers and administration knows them personally. Just recently, the children scored in the top 15% nationally o the standardized Terra Nova tests and I hear over and over that our graduating seniors are best equipped to handle the challenge of high school courses, than any other schol in the area. A wonderful learning enviroment!

My intent was to rate the school 3 stars but it would not allow me to do so (2 or 4). Two of my children attended this school. The religious education portion of the curriculum is strong. In regards to academics, if your child is at par or slightly above this would be a good school for you. There are very few resources for the student that learns in different ways and may need additional help. The principal and the teachers were not willing to go outside the normal curriculum for assistance (except to offer after school tutoring on a paid basis). My other child was not challenged at all at the school and found the classroom interactions flat. The community aspect is nice however they overly focused on fund raising. Now that my children are in the public schools I see the amount of resources that are available and the level of enrichment provided to well round a student.
