Easily the best school in the Princeton School District. Very high academic standards and lots of options to go deeper into the subjects if the student is interested. Excellent French language program. The teachers care deeply about the students success and really connect with the parents too. This creates a great sense of community. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you very much PCS!

Strong academic excellence. Excellent at listening to parent concerns and addressing them. Homework can be a lot on some days. Not all.

PCS has an excellent curriculum, faculty, and staff. The students receive solid education in academic subjects, the arts and physical education. Character building and kindness are emphasized. the children are extremely well prepared for high school.

Princeton Charter School has been a leader in quality education for over a decade. It's rigorous core curriculum for K-8 students lays a solid foundation for their high school careers. Faculty do not teach for state tests; therefore, students get a deeper education. Since the school is small, it's a close knit community with school spirit. Every year the lottery results in a large turnout showing that it remains a VERY desirable school.

Princeton Charter School is a school that is unique - because a few parents got together some 15 years ago and decided to not accept the status quo any more. They decided to form a school that believed in excellence, and were able to implement the principles that defined it. That every child needs to be challenged. They drafted a charter, campaigned for it, raised money for it, and created it. This is this school's unique legacy and is fully reflected in the culture of the school. There is an appreciation of academic rigor and excellence of character, an understanding amongst the teachers and staff as to how to bring this about, and a Board of Trustees that is committed to its delivery. There also exists an understanding that educating our children requires full involvement of everyone in that school community, and this is evidenced by Princeton Charter School's excellent reputation, and outstanding results.

We are new to the school and we love it! Our oldest is at her second year and teachers had been so helpful with her In many ways to help her adapt in her new school and guide her in how to improve her grades, by giving here extra time at reading time or email us with recommendations to follow at home. Our second daughter is new this year to the school and teachers, staff and parents had been an amazing help! Love the school! The principal is very helpful as well.

Good teachers. Good curriculum. Foreign languages every day is a big plus. Students are worked very hard. The school book says max 25 min per subject. The reality is every evening 30-45 min per subject, 4 to 5 different subjects. Not counting test preparation or essays or band participation. Therefore most of the weekday evenings are fully booked at the tune of 3 to 4 hours. Sample schedule: Bus arrives home around 4:15pm, rush for some quick meal and bathroom stop, then full work load from 5pm to 9pm (many times extending past 10pm). Day after day, relentless. There appear to be lack of schedule coordination for different subject tests. For example, my child had 4 (FOUR) different significant tests scheduled on THE SAME DAY. Due to the high volume of homework, there is no longer any time available for evening sports. Saturday had become a full workday for us, trying to catch up with unfinished homework from the past week. The lunch quality is poor.

My three children attended the Princeton Charter School and they all profited from the experience. Perhaps I should say that the school is challenging, and my kids (and I) struggled at times with the homework. But PCS supported them, even providing summer study. The administration pays great attention to the curriculum, and fundamentals like math and English are augmented by excellent chess, music, and art offerings. This public school is equal in every way to the excellent private schools in the area. My children graduated from eighth grade with training that put them ahead of their peers at high school. I was lucky to find such an excellent school for my children.
