do the gaps between academics and graduation confuse? Dont be fooled, some students dont even know how to read when they get here. Academy Charter HS has high graduation rates because they push students along regardless of their effort. Learning from teaching at this school isnt easy because of the many distractions *not the suspension percentage*. Peace, encouragement, and respect in class amongst students is scarce. The building is very small so trouble spreads quickly. teachings in classrooms arent even memorable because teachers have no control over their classes due to unruly students and teachers that cant handle them. If your children are academically gifted, dont send them here unless youre okay with watching them mentally and academically be compromised. School funding doesnt allow extra curricular activities for children to experience anything other than basketball and cheerleading. Without the exploration of skills and talents, many simply lack vision and motivation. So Teachers need to do better with their students to inspire success, and help them apply themselves. The scores here reflect true experience. This school wont help take your children out of the hard world mentality, even if they seem well adjusted, because staffs inaction and robot like approach to teaching will continue to perpetuate inevitable failure in struggling city children. Unfortunately this rings true for many minority schools. Unless individuals care more, scores will always reflect the careless.

Disregard the other review on here, an angry student must have written it after getting in trouble for doing something wrong. The staff at ACHS is truly incredible they care so much about EVERY student in the building and go to great lengths to see them succeed!

This school is the worst school ever. The teachers are really nice but the dean and principles and everyone else is just horribke. If they don't like you, then they won't help you. There's favoritism in this school. These people don't care for the education of most of the students here, please don't send your child here.
