My son had an excellent experience during his 3 years at Rosa. His teachers are excellent, the principal is very communicative with parents/guardians, etc. My child thrived here both academically, musically and athletically. It is clear that staff care very much for their students. One down side is larger class sizes. Other than that, it was fantastic.

My daughter is at Rosa this year. The academics are rigorous, and the homework at times can be excessive. My daughter is receiving a top-notch education, though, from teachers who really know their subjects and care about their students. It is very challenging, but the classroom experiences really teach the kids to THINK, not just memorize facts. The teachers and administrators are extremely caring and willing to give of their own personal time to help my daughter when she doesnt understand a concept. Also, she opted to go to Rosa instead of the local middle school to get away from some bully girls. Best decision! Rosa kids have been kind and accepting, mature beyond their years, definitely a much higher caliber of students. I am thrilled with the people shes rubbing shoulders with, the education she is receiving, and the way her mind is being stretched!

Amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this school!

The school was excellent for my typical children. The special needs program is terrible. Little is done to individualize for children, teach them at their level or help them progress. They simply get further behind. The CST is rude and arrogant.

This school was once an elite institution and still is for choral, orchestra and other fine arts. However, the PARCC test and Common Core in general has led to the hollowing out the academic rigor in this institution. You could go to any private or catholic school in Cherry Hill and it would provide a middle school student with a better academic preparation for high school. Disappointing, but Rosa has fallen prey to the No Child Left Behind / PARCC / Common Core malaise.

With all of the PARCC test prep, the homework load is lighter than it otherwise might be.

Favoritism is fairly rampant in this school and if your are not a great singer or musician, you can be left on the outside looking in

Overcrowded school. The teachers are overworked and either ignore or are oblivious to bullying and rude kids. Our taxes are some of the highest in the nation yet the school temperature is either too hot or too cold, the lockers are tiny and the gymnasium, lunch room & bathrooms are always dirty. Pulled my children out.

we have a second child at rosa this year and absolutely love it. our first child was not a great lover of schooling but when her first year at rosa came to an end she cried and wanted to go over the summer. that is how wonderful, nurturing, and challenging rosa is! our second child has a learning disability but he also appreciates the great sense of community fostered at rosa. the IB program is rigorous and really ties together the disciplines. the music program is phenomenal! twice we have toured our local middle school and compared it to rosa and each time rosa won. we simply love the teachers and support staff and couldn't ask for more.

There school is okay I guess. It sometimes has teachers people don't like, but most schools have that. The hallways are always noisy and they have such small lockers!

Rosa is a legend in it's own mind. Two of my children went there, two went to another Cherry Hill Middle School; the other one did a much better job of preparing them for High School. Too much blather, not enough challenging work. They do well on the test scores because of the family demographics, despite the teachers.
